Bu kitap; duygusal ve davranışsal bozukluklara sahip öğrenciler hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak isteyen sınıf öğretmenleri, özel eğitim öğretmenleri ve alanda çalışan uzmanlar için hazırlanmış giriş niteliğinde bir uygulama kitabıdır. Toplumsal etkileşimin olduğu her yerde, anlaşmazlıkların olması doğal ve kaçınılmazdır. Kişiler, gruplar ve toplumlar arası anlaşmazlıklar; doğru bir biçimde yönetildiğinde gelişimin, ilerlemenin, dönüşümün, barışın ve bütünleşmenin hem enerji kaynağı hem de motoru olabilmektir. Ancak, anlaşmazlıklar yanlış ve yıkıcı yaklaşımlarla yönetildiğinde ise; yıkımın, şiddetin, zulmün ve acının kaynağına dönüşmektedir.

Anlaşmazlıkları ortadan kaldırma, farklılığı ortadan kaldırmaktadır. Doğa ve insanlık, farklılığı ve çoklığı kabul etmeyi ve anlamayı gerektirir. Farklılığı ortadan  kaldırmaya çalışmak yerine; onu anlamaya ve nasıl yöneteceğimizi keşfetmeye başladığımızda, yolumuz anlaşmazlıklarımızı nasıl yöneteceğimizden geçmektedir. Anlaşmazlıkları nasıl yöneteceğimiz üzerine odaklandığımızda, karşımıza en temel yaklaşım ve paradigma olan "dönüşümsel arabuluculuk" çıkmaktadır.Dönüşümsel arabuluculuğun alanyazına en önemli katkısı, anlaşmazlık çözüm sürecinin toplumsal değerlerden ve kültürden bağımsız olmadığı,ideolojimizin ve inanç tarzımızın anlaşmazlıklara ilişkin değerlendirmelerimizi, tutumlarımızı ve anlaşmazlıklarımızı ele alış tarzımızı etkilediği düşüncesidir. Yine, dönüşümsel arabuluculuğun en ayırt edici özelliği, anlaşmazlıkları yönetim sürecinin, kişileri dönüştürebileceğine, geliştirebileceğine ve güçlendirebileceğine yönelik yapıcı ve olumlu duruşudur.

Bush ve P. Folger tarafından geliştirilen "dönüşümsel arabuluculuk modeli" ülkemizde, her sene mahkemelere taşınan yüz binlerce anlaşmazlığı, çekişmeyi ve ayrışmayı yüz yüze müzakere ederek yapıcı ve barışçıl olarak çözme kapasitesini güçlendirmek için bir fırsat ve araç olacaktır. Cezalandırıcı adalet anlayışından, onarıcı adalet anlayışına dönme çabalarına ışık tutacaktır.

Bu eser,içerdiği alternatif paradigma çerçevesinde hukuk sistemimize yeni giren arabuluculuk modelinin doğru ve amacına uygun kullanılması için de referans olacak anlamlı ve önemli bir eserdir. Buna ek olarak, anlaşmazlık çözümü üzerine çalışan hukukçulara, psikologlara, psikolojik danışmanlara, eğitimcilere, psikiyatristlere ve sosyal çalışmacılara hem kurumsal anlamda hem de somut anlaşmazlıkların ve çatışmaların yapıcı ve barışcıl yönetimi konusunda yol gösterecek temel bir başvuru kaynağı olacaktır.

Tüm yaşamımız duygu ve düşüncelerimiz tarafından yönetilmektedir. Çoğumuz ağırlıkla gerçeğin farkına varmadan yaşadığımızdan düşünce becerilerimizi geliştirmeyi önemsemeyiz. Ancak düşünme, eğitim, psikoloji ve daha birçok alandaki bilim insanının üzerinde çalıştığı ve geliştirmeyi hedefledikleri beceriler arasındandır. Düşünme türleri içinde eleştirel düşünme en temel ve önemlileri arasındadır. This report was commissioned in July 2011 by the Australia Council for the Arts to bring the research on the issue of women in creative leadership in Australia up to the present day, to provide a basis for the sector to discuss these issues, and to reach agreement on some strategies to address the situation. It gathers together quantitative and qualitative information on the continuing gender disparities, and attempts to identify structural barriers and potential levers for addressing entrenched inequalities.

In an increasingly change-driven world, leaders are called upon to evolve their mindsets and skill-sets to reflect and serve the demands of the new millennium.  A novel leadership concept, creative leadership, is introduced and defined and then placed in context within the history of the field. Additionally, skills and behaviors related to leading creatively, which are immediately applicable to leadership practice, are outlined.  Creative thinking and problem solving are shown to be indispensible to leaders who want to thrive in times of complexity and change.

In the era of the 21st century, the best higher education institutions have more than one role. Not only do they educate and train students but they also create new ideas and knowledge for the short-term contemporary issues as well as long-term complex problems. In the strategic goals, five aspects are critical in higher education: the democratization of knowledge and access, the contestability of the market and funding, the research technologies, the global mobility and the integration with the industry. Universities should have strategic plans including strategic goals. In this study, the strategic models and plans of the public (5) and private (5) universities are analysed from the five different aspects. In order to deeply understand the dynamics at these universities, the phenomenological interpretive analysis is preferred. University leaders
and managerial departments should consider market needs and do strategic plan accordingly. Hence, they should develop the strategic thinking capacity of both their academic staff and researchers for short and long terms need of the industry. Results have shown that most universities have wrong perception regarding the strategic model and plan. Neither private nor public universities possess enough knowledge on the subject.

Anksiyete; kaygı veya başka bir deyişle endişe insanların deneyimlediği bir korku ve gerilim halidir. Bazı görüşlere göre yaşanan iç çatışmaların sonucudur. Bazılarına göre ise öğrenilmiş davranışlardır. Denetim dışına çıkıp kişinin işlevselliğini aksattığında rahatsızlık olarak adlandırılır.

Eskiden insanların ortalama ömürleri otuz beş yılken ve kendi küçücük dünyalarında yaşarken çoğu kez endişeli olmaya fırsatları olmazdı ve anksiyeteden söz edilmezdi. Oysa, globalleşmenin dünyayı adeta kocaman bir ülkeye dönüştürmesi , mobil teknolojilerin ve sosyal medyanın günbegün hayatımıza sirayeti, bilgisayarların gitgide insan gücünün yerini alması, rekabetin hızla artması, stresli yaşam koşulları ve tarihte hiç olmadığı kadar çok sayıda seçenek arasından karar verme mecburiyeti günümüzde anksiyeteyi en yaygın zihinsel rahatsızlık konumuna getirmiştir. Günümüzde sadece ABD'de yılda 40 milyon kişi anksiyete rahatsızlığından muzdarip olmakta, her dört kişiden biri ise hayatının bir noktasında onunla mücadele etmektedir.

Aksiyete Çağı'm adlı kitapta The Atlantic adlı derginin editörü olan yazar Scott Stossel, kendi yaşadığı ve hayatını etkileyen anksiyete sorununu keşfetmek üzere çıktığı cesur yolculuğu okurlarla paylaşmaktadır. This project explored the development of serious play as a personal
competency of creative leadership and as a dimension of a creative
organizational climate. Skill development was undertaken through acquiring
certification as a LEGO® Serious Play™ facilitator and three workshops were
subsequently delivered to a range of clients. The principles of play and Papert’s
theory of constructionism were used to develop a serious of creative products as
prototypes tried out with clients in the form of team based games.
The outcomes of this project are ideas on how to bring play into the
workplace, creating a climate for creativity and innovation.

İnsanoğlunun hayat serüveninde belki de en fazla zorlandığı evre ergenlik evresidir çünkü bu evrede yavaş yavaş çocukluktan çıkıp yetişkinliğe geçiş yapmakta olan bir birey, artık ne çocuktur ne de tam anlamıyla bir yetişkindir. Bu evre sadece ergenler için değil aynı zamanda ergenlik çağında çocuğu olan anne babalar, ergen öğrencileri olan öğretmenler ve hatta ergenlerle çalışan psikolojik danışmanlar için de oldukça zorludur.

Creative leadership is a rather novel topic, despite the fact that, leadership and creativity are widely researched and have gained considerable attention these last decades. Leadership and creativity are both complex and much needed processes in everyday work. Specifically, transformational leadership and creativity have traits and attributes that correlate and predict each other. Providing new ties and linkages, as well as connecting already existing attributes, traits and facets, a more complex form of understanding these two processes is proposed, thus creating options to novel and innovative knowledge. 
An exploratory design with mixed methods was used to answer the questions posed. The research design started with focus group discussions, in order to deeply understand the conceptions of Kosovar engineers about creative leadership, followed by the selection of instruments and quantitative data collection. The doctoral research was conducted, as follows: Four focus groups discussions, with four participants each, were conducted and followed by quantitative part, the main data collection with 182 Kosovar engineers, from whom 103 employees were from private companies and the remaining 79 were from public companies. All of the participants were engineers. Through interpretation of findings, thesis illustrates linkages between leadership and creativity. After establishing and reconfirming the relationship between these two processes, thesis provides deeper understanding of specific characteristics of personality – as one of the key dimensions of creativity and leadership, specifically transformational leadership. Furthermore, comparative analysis between other factors, such as the status of the company (public vs. private) and gender are analyzed and presented in order to have a more complete understanding of the interactions between analyzed variables. 
This doctoral thesis, unfolds chapter by chapter and processes described are interlined in delivering the end result.

This article draws on case study findings of educator leadership in an online gifted education school, which emerged from a larger study exploring online engagement practices used by specialist gifted education teachers to (re)engage gifted learners. The gifted education teachers and their team leader were interviewed about leadership practices for supporting online engagement of gifted primary and high school students. Semi-structured interview data were transcribed, coded, and thematically analysed. Findings related to teachers voicing the importance of a passionate and committed team leader who understood giftedness and who acted as a facilitator in both the continuous development of teaching team skills and facilitation of online engagement practices for gifted students. Leadership elasticity enhances leadership style flexibility and mobility to enable educational leaders to maintain appropriate leadership equilibrium. The essential of leadership elasticity contributes towards organizational effectiveness by followership’s maintenance through appropriate expansion and contraction of relations and task behavioural orientation simultaneously, arrive at optimally balanced leadership equilibrium. This study aimed to explain leadership elasticity in achieving leadership equilibrium through relations and task behaviour orientating style-flex by assimilating the followership variables of task, timing, people, and trust. The study suggest both relations and task behavioural orientation is essential for a leader to bring about organizational effectiveness and social harmony. Moreover, Leadership elasticity expanding toward relations-oriented enabled less elasticity, while, expansion toward task-oriented behaviour enabled high elasticity. Leadership contextual intelligence and contextual experiences are both essential in identifying the variations in the contextual settings. This enables appropriate leadership approach of style-flex through the leadership behavioural orientations towards timing, trusting, tasking and people. The variations in the degree of elasticity can cause disturbances by frequent behavioural changes in an attempt to fit in the situation. This multi attempt behavioural changes can be the major cause of style-drift.

In Turkey, most university administrators and academic staff members are not yet fully aware of intellectual property rights (IPRs). Researchers often have difficulty in licensing opportunities that can provide additional revenue streams due to the lack of either strategic policies set by the administration or a dedicated technology transfer (or licensing) office (TTO). This paper attempts to shed some light
on the relationship between intellectual property rights and licensing awareness in Turkish universities as well as how this is affected by the lack of TTOs. Semi-structured exploratory interviews were conducted with 45 researchers in two different faculties (Medicine and Engineering). Results show that most of the participants, including a higher-than-expected percentage from the Faculty of Engineering,
were not aware of the importance of the technology that they had developed in terms of licensing and royalties that they could earn. In conclusion, it can be said that universities in Turkey have to undergo a policy change regarding managerial issues, especially with regards to Technology Transfer Offices. Increasing the visibility of technology transfer options and agreements, as well as further research on this topic, is recommended.

The aim of this book is to understand the effects of neo-liberal economies and globalization on education policies where they create inequalities and conflicts. However, the main goal of education is defined as a radical democratization in the schools through the transformation of knowledge. Curriculum plays important role in the transformation of knowledge and it is crucial to build a radical transformation of the societies. From this perspective, three alternative curricula, namely, Peace Education and Conflict Resolution Education, and Peace Education and Conflict Resolution Education combined are implemented and evaluated to investigate the effects on pre-service tecahers' Emotional Intelligence, Self-concept, and Conflict Resolution Skills. The findings indicated that the Peace Education, Conflict Resolution Education, and the Peace Education and the Conflict Resolution Education combined curricula has significant effects on Emotional Intelligence, Self Concept and Conflict Resolution Skills. Among these three curricula, the Peace Education and Conflict Resolution Education combined has the highest effects on Emotional Intelligence, Self Concept and Conflict Resolution Skills.

The article revises the effects of technology transfer offices (TTOs) on capacity building within the university, from the perspective of
creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. The objective of the article is to understand clearly and deeply how TTOs build capacity in
creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship for all the stakeholders, researchers, faculty members, SMEs, incubators, undergraduate and
graduate students, and attorneys. Particular focus is given for analysing TTOs activities in order to comprehend the strategy of TTOs in delivering and building capacity for innovative products and services. The author concludes that the universities and TTOs should have a common strategic plan and policy to empower and to increase efficiently and effectively the impacts TTOs activities have on the
development of the technology-based innovative products and services.

This article revises the effects of the metacognition development on project-based learning by giving different cases for the graduate level students (n=86) at the innovation and entrepreneurship courses. The objective of the article is to understand clearly and deeply how metacognitive learning methodologies affect the learning process and outcome. As a result, cases in which everyday challenges, such as social, economic, cultural, and environmental are solved develop better environments for the development of metacognition due to the fact that the highest ‘meta-level’ of cognition is implicated. In the project-based learning, by solving different problems it is possible to develop creative ideas while improving highly developed skills.

In recent years, educational technology and innovative programs have been introduced
to many education systems. Although these technologies have a great potential to improve teaching,
learning and management processes especially at higher education, many obstacles and resistance
hinder their implementation. In order to shift towards an entrepreneurial higher education institu-
tion, organisational culture needs to be adapted to the present conditions. Given the importance of
the subject, there is a need for a deeper look into the nature of organisational culture in the context
of its relationships with innovative and technology-based development for educational institutions.
This paper attempts to show and critically analyse the role of organisational culture on the develop-
ment of innovation and technology-based projects (ITBP) at the higher education; particularly by
considering the perceptions of the researchers. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 34
researchers from different fields. Interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) was used in this
study. Academic people (89%) from well-developed organisation in terms of physical components
had better results in developing innovation and technology when compared to the academic people
from non well-developed cultural organisation. Furthermore, values of the organisation are signifi-
cantly important in order to increase the depthless of the innovation and technology-based projects
development.

In a global world, it is impossible for a technology- based economy to think independently of other variables, underlying relational environment. In the higher education systems, different environments significantly affect the success of the new start-ups in the universities. In this study we try to look at what effects different interactive ecosystems might possibly have on improving creativity, innovation, patenting and licensing by showing different real-life examples from life sciences. Additionally, the paper tries to look at how exactly ethnographic studies affect participants in the process of creating innovative products. All this is given in a close connection with the interactive ecosystem in which the target participants become more active by developing empathy. Thus, by developing a new in
teractive ecosystem, specifically in the hospitals, participants’
behaviours and attitudes have changed and they have become much more actively engaged in the problems and needs of the health shareholders.

Problem Statement: Transferring technology from university labs to startups at techno-parks is expensive and takes time.Therefore,blended learning has been using to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of technology transfer.
Research Questions: in this study, how the blended learning can significantly affect the technology transfer from the university labs to the startups at the university technology parks is studied.
Purpose of Study: The purpose of this paper is to provide an alternative practice model called blended learning at the technology parks to enhance the effective and efficient technology transfer experiences. Hence,the design,methodology,and approach in technology transfer have changed by empowering the blended Iearning-online, mobile, and face to face learning.
Research Methods: in this study, 46 participants were randomly selected and randomly placed into a technology transfer group (n=23) and a control group (n=23). The data were collected through intensive interviews and analyzed by using Atlas.ti 7.The learning experiences and outcomes were articulated and compared through pre and post tests,including the control groups.
Findings: The results shovved blended learning had increased motivation of the participants.Most(89%)of the participants agreed they could not find time and money even though they needed the intensive know-how in terms of the technology transfer in their field that they could reach from the experts at the university .They learnt additional info to improve their products and services.
Conclusions: The experiences in blended learning could öpen new perspectives in empovvering the startups in technology transfer.The shareholders at the university labs and startups could not find enough time and even money to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the technology transfer.Hence,face to face learning on online and mobile can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the technology transfer. Problem Statement: Today’s ever-changing educational environment has created a need for new leadership styles
that encourage positive change and improvement. In Turkish universities, the most commonly used leadership models are the classic and/or traditional ones, which lead to stagnation in innovation and entrepreneurship. Only a limited number of universities are actively engaged in innovative research activities and achieve success in terms of entrepreneurship and cooperative work with industry. Abroad effort is needed to improve cooperation and encourage leadership development.
Purpose of Study: This paper attempts to show and critically analyze the role of leadership models of university management in creating a learning environment for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 42 different faculty members and 12 graduate students over a period of three months at three different universities in
Istanbul. Interviews were centered on 6 core research questions. Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) was used to analyze the interview outcomes. The data were analyzed using the Atlas.ti 7 software kit.
Findings and Results: A large percent age of the participants,
78%, mentioned that participatory democracy is an important new leadership model that can empower innovation and entrepreneurship. Most respondents, 80%, also identified the important role of intensive collaboration with industry managers. In the transformation of the university, a significant percentage of the participants, 69%, agreed that
experts should be frequently consulted and their views taken into consideration. Slightly more than half of the participants, 54%, said that their university could do more to encourage innovation and innovative ideas from students and faculty members; out of the respondents who expressed this idea, the majority, 86 %, said that new leadership and
management styles would be critical in promoting this change.
Conclusions and Recommendations: As the current study shows, universities that apply new leadership styles create an
environment more conducive to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Consistent with previous research, the leadership model of university management plays a vital role
in universities’ readiness to accept innovative and entrepreneurial changes. Universities should adopt new leadership styles instead of using conservative and traditional leadership models that discourage innovation
and entrepreneurship. Generally speaking, democratic leadership models are more effective at fostering open innovation. In the new management framework, leaders can create new environments and spaces, such as technology transfer offices, to collaborate with industry.

This study has analyzed and compared emotionai intelligence training on high school students' conflict resolution, empathy, and leadership skills. Emotionai intelligence (EQ) is one element in a broad spectrum of skills that enable high school students to create value for their community and themselves. Since Salovey and Mayer's (1990) seminal article on the concept, and its popularization in a social science book of the same name (Gibbs 1995; Goleman 1995), emotionai intelligence has emerged in several different models and measures. Matthews et al. (2002) outlined three contexts for the study of emotionai intelligence: psychometric, theoretical, and applied. The focus of this study is on measurement and applied use of emotionai intelligence by giving a special training as after school activities. This study was conducted at two different high schools in Turkey in which 959 students were involved. The first study site was in Samsun where 282 students had participated in the experimental and control groups. On the other hand, in the second site, İstanbul, 677 students had participated. Data were collected using two instruments; Conflict Resolution Skills (Akbalık, 2004) and Bar-on Emotionai İntelligence Assessment (Bar-On, 2004). The assessments were given to the participants in the experimental and control groups before and after the emotionai intelligence oriented training called "Geniş Açı." Test scores were conducted in SPSS by taking score means, standard deviations, and intercorrelations, using demographic variables received from the personal information sheets. The study revealed that there is considerable room for improvement in the emotionai skills of the students in high schools. Additionally, this study showed that emotionai intelligence influenced significantly the conflicts resolution, empathy and leadership skills comparing to control groups. The large number (%81) of the participants' conflict resolution skills had changed after the emotionai intelligence oriented training. More importantly, their empathy skills had improved 78%. Furthermore, in their leadership skills, the participants' skills were upgraded 73%.

Problem Statement: The youth peace camps can provide active safe environments for young people, especially those who come from different conflict background to understand each other and to develop empathy. Research Questions: What the effects of the peace camps are on learning together about conflict, sharing their experiences, and transforming the conflicts for more peaceful culture is critically studied. Purpose of Study: This study has analyzed and compared perceptions and experiences of the students who came from Greece,Turkey,and Cyprus and spent a week together.Since the students who had different perception and experiences regarding to the conflicts among the countries, the effects of the peace camps had been analyzed. Research Methods: In this study, by conducting experimental research analysis, the conflict resolution skills (as assessed by Conflict Resolution Inventory, Akbalık, 2001), emotional intelligence and leadership skills (as assessed by Bar-On Emotional Quotient Inventory,(Bar-On, 1997),and perceived psychological health (as assessed by Personalıty Assessment Questionnaire, Rohner 1998,Varan 2002) were compared before and after the active learning environment activities. Findings: Significant differences were seen after the camps,especially in conflict resolution skills, in their interpersonal, intrapersonal, and leadership subscales of the EQ. More importantly, while their leadership skills were increasing the hostility-aggression subscale in personality dimensions. Most (67%) students experienced that their conflict resolution skills were changed by being together and talking about their conflicts Conclusions: The large number of the participants had showed minimum 10 % changes in their conflict resolution skills.in the subscales of the EQ, the changes in Intrapersonal Intelligence were more than the changes in interpersonal intelligence.All the subscales of the Personal Assessment had changed after the camp. This study investigates critically the structure of Silicon Valley in order to adapt properly to the Turkish system while changing science and technology policies to engage in growing high-tech economies through fostering university-industry-government collaborations and linkages. Even though many countries tried to replicate Silicon Valley by moving physically industries into certain geographic locations, they could not be compared to the original impact of Silicon Valley. Most of the best and the greatest high-tech companies are in the Valley where almost one-third of all the venture capital investments have been received and have become the locomotives of growth of the US and most of the brightest students try to study or work. The Valley has been analyzed using critical theory to understand the structure of the system, the values that have been decided and applied by the members in different processes, and the practices. Some unique findings of the research about the Valley which can be applied by many techno-parks or research centers are the capability of cooperation and active learning. Most of the companies are working around the same issues together with the universities’ members who are not only coming from Stanford. In other words, the cooperation has been conducted under the umbrella of Silicon Valley. An innovative platform has been created where people interact more often to cooperate and they are legally protected by developing social networks which are their value systems. The cultural diversity of different ethnic traditions, viewpoints, and value systems is welcomed in personal and professional level which strength unity in the community.

Even though for some women in Turkey can rarely find the opportunities to study at the university, most of whom have canalized to the majors which are not related to the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics majors. However, there are important studies, which clearly show that even though the women have the ability in STEM areas, they do not like to choose these fields. In their choices, there are different reasons which strong have effected in their career path.

In order to understand the Turkish women’s hidden reasons of not choosing the STEM areas, a well rounded research had conducted in Istanbul, the most developed city in Turkey, in which two different universities STEM departments had chosen together with non STEP departments in order to compare the reasons.Firstly,by using Strategic Talent Management and Career Decision (STMCD) Assessment (Sart, 2013),the competences, potential, strengths, and weaknesses of the young people (490) between 18 and 24 had checked and analysed The results showed that there were not any significant differences between the male and female students in the competences, potential,strengths,and weaknesses.Most (96%) had mentioned that they had chosen their career path with the effects of their social environments.

In order to analyze the main reasons of the career choices, deep interviews were done with the young people who were coming from the STEM departments, so were not the STEM departments. The study sample consisted of 80 undergraduate students: Among them, 54% are female. In the study, a phenomenological analysis was conducted and 16 research questions were taken into consideration during the semi-structured interviews. Then the data were overviewed critically by using Atlas.ti 7 to elaborate deeply the main reasons of the career choices in STEM and non-STEM areas.

The results of the depth analysis showed that most of the participants (88%)accepted that they were significantly affected by their social environment, particularly those who were not chosen the majors in STEM areas.Those (43%) who were studying in STEM majors, however, pointed out that before choosing the STEM areas,they felt alone and scared. More importantly, some (25%) of the participants had mentioned also their professors’ negative attitudes and behaviors towards the female students in STEM areas. Those, who were successful, on the other hand,had also mentioned the negative attitudes of their male classmates in the departments where almost 20% of the female students had left the departments.The results of the participants who were not coming from STEM areas were analyzed and showed that STEM areas were launched them negatively by their families, their teacher at the high schools, and their counselors. The first argument mentioned was that STEM areas were for male students since the women were not capable to work hard in these departments. Most (89%) of them strongly clarified that they became aware after they came to the university where they did not see any difficulty in studying STEM areas. The participants had mentioned that those graduates from STEM department had much better chances than those who were not coming from STEM areas to find better jobs and to have career path. According to the most (93%) of the participants, the awareness about the importance of the STEM departments were significantly low in Turkey so that a new strategy was needed to promote the STEM areas in order to increase innovation.

The best higher education institutions do not educate and train only the students who are the new work force for the global market for the future, but also create new ideas and knowledge for the shortterm contemporary issues as well long term complex issues, which the industry needs critically.
However, not all the universities are successful in providing technology-based innovation so that they need new and dynamic strategic model and planning. The strategic model is understanding the needs of the socio-economic-political-cultural-environmental aspects of the interest groups, who are the students, the labor market, and different industries. In order to meet the needs, the higher education institutions should take into consideration their competencies and interest. While deciding and matching these two aspects, the alternative costs and profits should be taken into account critically for short-term and long-term goals of the universities.
Additionally, in the strategic goals, five aspects are critical in higher education. The first one is the democratization of knowledge and access, which means access to university education in order to gain innovative knowledge for the developing and competitive markets. The second aspect is the contestability of the market and funding, which is one of the most important subjects for all the universities in this competitive market economy. The third aspect is related to the research technologies, including digital. The universities should deal with the latest technologies in order to
create new values in the market as well as in the society. The forth perspective is about the global mobility in which most of the academics as well as the student find different opportunities for global partnership and dynamic synergy to improve talents and competencies. The most important aspect, however, is the integration with the industry. Universities need to develop significantly deeper
partnerships with industry by changing teaching and learning programs, supporting the funding and
application of research, and reinforcing the role of universities as drivers of innovation and growth.
Taking into consideration all these strategic purposes, on the other hand, the strategic plan is making a
kind of a gun chart to see the performances for one year, two years, five years, ten years, twenty years, and more.
In this study, the strategic models and plans of the public (5) and private (5) universities are analyzed from the five different aspects. In order to understand deeply the dynamics at these universities, the phenomenological interpretive analysis is preferred. In the depth interviews, the academics and the professionals of the technology transfer offices as well as the active researchers and academics answered 21 questions about the strategic model and planning.
The results show that the private universities are 75% better in developing business models and business plans. Additionally, most of the participants (88%) are not aware about the strategic model and plan. More importantly, they (95%) have wrong perception related to the strategic model and plan. Regarding to the 5 strategic purposes, two public universities as well as 3 private universities are
aware about, but they do not have well-developed and well-defined strategic model and plan.

This study aims to explore the transformation of the universities by means of the techno-parks. The university-industry-government partnership, which forces to make changes in the universities and "human capital." It is so clear that the reasons are not only national, but also supranational where innovation and knowledge are taken as drivers of the competitiveness and growth. The transformation in the higher education is seen as the marketization of the universities by means of generating technological knowledge, which is commodified in the global market economy. The effects of the techno-parks are serious on the academic missions of universities, while changing innovation system so that the misssions of universities are redefined. Hence, knowledge as a commodity can be sold in the market and techno-parks and universities have become the headquarters of corporations. The analyses show that universities are not capable of absorbing the increasing demand so that techno-parks open new liberalization in commodification of knowledge. The transformation towards entrepreneurialization has profoundly produced different problems-inequalities, segregation, and social injustices.
