"The combination of developmental and cultural perspectives provides a framework to consider toy-play as an emerging socio-cognitive skill. We examined the development of spontaneous gestures and imitation among 50 Lazuri-speaking toddler-caregiver dyads in Lazona, Turkey. Dyads engaged in structured-play activities utilizing tea party and farm-animal toy sets (video-recorded for 10-min/activity). The findings reveal widespread use of gestures in toddler-caregiver interactions, with culture-specific patterns of gesturing developing in tandem with imitation of object use and speech.

People obtain information from the physical world and continuously organize this stream of stimuli data via a complex process known as cognition formation. Due to its the complexity of this process, it is difficult to accurately express and assess people's cognition of objects. However, for designers, understanding the logic and principle behind an audience's cognitive process is essential for their design activities. This study focuses on the cognitive mechanisms of audiences obtaining social-information generated from designed objects. The study seeks to establish an updated cognitive model, building on the hypothesis that audiences form cognition about the social environments of objects through the perception of physical features of and emotional responses to objects. To test this hypothesis, an integrated design research methodology was designed based on the Semantic Differential Method (SDM). An object from a science fiction (Sci-Fi) film was selected as an example to research how designed objects convey social information. The results largely validate the hypothesis by revealing that audience cognition exists at different interconnected levels. The findings of this study can help designers better understand audience cognitive mechanisms, and the methodology described can be a useful tool for designers to obtain and analyse audience cognition of objects through the design process.

The author investigates, from the cognitivist perspective, the US/THEM opposition in the consciousness of contemporary native speakers of Ukrainian. The study aims to reveal the archetypal reflexes of an old semiotic system and the changes it has undergone in the conceptual structures of present-day Ukrainians. An associative experiment has been used for the purpose. On the one hand, the data show the importance of the US/THEM opposition for contemporary speakers of Ukrainian, and on the other reveal the processes which take place in correlative conceptual structures: the broadening and changes in the sphere of US (belonging to us) / THEM (belonging to them), numerous oppositions between those spheres and active dependencies between components of these oppositions. Associative reactions allow one to explicate the connections between the US/THEM opposition and those of CLOSE/DISTANT or HOME/FOREST, which points to the existence of interlinked clusters within a holistic system of oppositions. Also discussed are processes which take place in the system of binary oppositions (asymmetry, the broadening of one of the terms at the expense of the other) and genre-related differences in the conceptualization of US and THEM. The very existence of binary oppositions, though with different hierarchies in different cultures, is a result of the functioning of a cognitive mechanism as a universal one. For example, concentric arrangement in the structuring of the space of US and THEM is viewed as a result of the processes of generalization and specialization co-functioning with a cognitive mechanism responsible for the formation of binary oppositions.

This article is devoted to the procedural aspects of simultaneous translation. The author gives its description from the point of view of the cognitive-dynamic concept. The article provides an analysis of the functioning of cognitive mechanisms at various stages of simultaneous translation activity. In conclusion, the author points out the need for the translator to analyze errors and difficulties, as well as ways to eliminate them in order to increase the professional reliability of the translator and transfer experience to future specialists.

ABSTRACT: We describe the development of the mechanical philosophy and its applications to mental phenomena, and then turn toward a more analytical characterization of mechanism and mechanistic explanation. Understanding what mechanisms are and recognizing the role they play in psychology casts a number of traditional philosophical issues about psychology in a very different light than in most philosophical discussions.

Not that your intent is validated as good or bad, or that the results will, being favorable or unfavorable, are ethical and spiritually moral. It means in the context of your motivating preconceptions, you've gotten what you deserve!

When You're going by your own rules-just pulling them out of your intuitive, ass' notions of obsessions and imperatives-there will be mechanical adjustment other than being more accommodating or conformist to what you decided from which to deviate. There are some hard realities you'll encounter that will necessitate a new perspective or incidental fine-tuning. That which particularly seems like FAILURE or success may have more to do with the perspective and expectations of intent.

In "failure", though one door seems to be slammed shut in your face, if you take a moment to step back, turn around, and see the broader scope about you, that failure just might have been the liberating forced leverage you needed for your 'Self' to open your eyes to other means and factors that your preconceptions had not counted on.

Being an intuitive Iconoclastic thinker from the herd-of-thought is a meandering, convoluted, marathon path, than a sprint or short run from point A-to-point B. It's a thought deconstruction and reconstruction of your minds soft-ware and embedded hardware of habits. Make friends with your mind's mechanics and its minimalist, obligatory and imperative needs in the most expedient, amoralistic ways, when necessary, to nurture and develop the path your mind's mechanics present to your conscientious discernment.
