my theme is the question is there a US death squad?  I write about CIA assassination of honestly elected foreign leaders and of course the North American mafia make war against other families over territory.  I limit my list to only those cases with hard evidence or someone was scheduled to testify in court , at a grand jury, or at a Congressional investigative committee.

This book is 480 pages proving that the CIA and the Joint Chiefs of Staff plotted to kill JFK based on some 50 years of dedicated research by many authors and declassified files.  It is about the continuation of CIA’s political warfare and the assassination operations and CIA working with the North American mafia.  It is an edition as of Nov. 2019.

The goal of this work is to describe the relations and contacts between the most representative italian left wing terror group and the East Germany intelligence service at the time of the kidnapping of Aldo Moro, one of the most investigated crimes in the italian 70's.

This book is 260 pages long and I include a table of organization of the US military intelligence and the OSS and its behind the lines commando operations.  I focus some on the developing of US signals intelligence and military history that has been declassified, but I think is still censored in our high school history books regarding US war crimes and etc.  I have been adding to this book over the years since the last time I published in on Academia.edu and this is edition as of Nov. 2019.  research.

This book, the first in American history to be subjected to prior
government censorship began making news even before it was written. From the time it was no more than an outline to the present, the Central Intelligence Agency has been trying to prevent its publication. To a degree, the agency has succeeded. Legal proceedings and injunctions delayed publication for close to a year. One hundred and sixty-eight passages actually censored by the agency continue to be unavailable and are thus missing from the text as published here (although nearly 200 more, first cut and then yielded up by the CIA following insistent demands by lawyers for the authors and the publishers will be found
printed in boldface type). Ironically, however, in a broader sense the agency has failed. In recent months, The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence has become more than a book, it has become a public issue of great symbolic importance —as a test of free speech and as a valuable and effective challenge to a peculiarly odious concept: the idea that any government body—even the CIA—should be permitted to exist beyond the reach of the Constitution and public control.

I tried to put US and associated world history into 150 pages.  I try to focus on the US history that I assume may be unknown or not taught in a big way in our schools or broadcast on TV or is being censored.  I have been adding to this book over the years that I have been researching for  my other seven or eight US history books by this title.  Those other books are divided based on who was President of the United States starting with FDR and so far I am now working on the President Ford years, but have not finished it yet.

In December 1979, Soviet troops entered the small, poor, landlocked, Islamic nation of Afghanistan, assassinated the communist president, Hafizullah Amin, and installed a more compliant Afghan leader. For almost ten years, Soviet troops remained entrenched in Afghanistan before finally withdrawing in February 1989. During this period, the United States undertook a covert program to assist the anti-communist Afghan insurgents—the mujahideen—to resist the Soviet occupation. Die militant antikommunistische "Kampfgruppe gegen Unmenschlichkeit" (KgU) wird in der Regel mit ihrem Wirken in die Sowjetische Besatzungszone Deutschlands und DDR verbunden. Der Beitrag zeichnet nach, wie sich die Organisation in West-Berlin und der Bundesrepublik im Feld politisch gleichgesinnter und wohlwollender, aber auch kritischer Gruppen und Organisationen bewegte. Es geht dabei weniger um die verschiedenen Kooperationen, sondern eher um die - gelegentlich geradezu paranoid anmutenden - Wahrnehmungsmuster der KgU.
Diese ähnelten sich erstaunlicherweise, unabhängig davon, ob die "professionellen kalten Krieger" der KgU es mit gleichgesinnten Gruppen zu tun hatten wie der "Vereinigung der Opfer des Stalinismus" (VOS), mit kritisch distanzierten Organisationen wie dem "Kongress für kulturelle Freiheit" ("Congress for Cultural Freedom", CCF) oder mit solchen Vereinigungen, die die KgU als "kommunistische Tarnorganisationen" betrachtete, weil sie neutralistische, pazifistische oder sozialkritische Thesen vertraten.

On March 30 Germany declared the important Lebanese political group, Hezbollah, to be a “terrorist” organization and banned it from German soil. By doing so it gratuitously increased the tension in the eastern Mediterranean and exposed Berlin’s lack of credibility on the world stage.
Is it really in Germany’s interest to destabilize a region that has already been crippled by multiple wars? On the surface Germany doesn’t appear to have a stake in the politics of Lebanon. Indeed, from whatever angle the situation is viewed from, Germany qua Germany doesn’t have a meaningful stake in Lebanon. Yet Berlin is assaulting the sovereignty of this small Mediterranean nation that means no harm.

"In his doctoral dissertation, German historian Enrico Heitzer has produced the definitive study of the KgU, including careful documentation of the organization’s numerous links to US intelligence agencies.
Heitzer’s book is comprehensive, well-organized, and thoroughly researched. [...]

The relationship between the KgU and US intelligence is best described as a partnership between two independent parties with identical goals—the weakening of the East German regime through espionage and covert action. In this bargain, the CIA contributed funds and guidance, and occasionally intervened on behalf of the KgU with the West German government and judiciary. In exchange, the KgU provided information and manpower, and absorbed massive MfS counter-strikes: numerous KgU agents were kidnapped, arrested, and received long prison sentences, and at least 126 were executed. The intensity
of the MfS’s response to the KgU’s operations suggests that the group had at least some impact in East Germany. [...]

Heitzer delivers a nuanced and detailed study of the KgU, however, his own assessment of the group grew more negative in the course of his research. [....] Readers may make up their own minds, but whatever one’s take on the KgU, no one will be able to discuss this controversial organization and its place in early Cold War Germany without taking into account Heitzer’s excellent book."

Abstract: This review essay looks at the causes of the covert US intervention in Iran in 1953, which overthrew the government of Prime Minister Mohammed Musaddiq, and turned Iran into a de facto autocracy. The argument of the essay is that, as opposed to economic interests or strategic considerations, it was American perceptions of Musaddiq and of the Iranian people in general that determined the course of US foreign policy towards Iran.

Aldrich Hazen Ames is remembered today as one of the most notable American traitors from the Cold War. After volunteering his services to the Soviets in 1985 in exchange for a cash advance of $50,000, Ames became an indispensable asset to the KGB, capable of securing the most sensitive secrets inside the CIA. His treasonous actions led to the deaths of valuable American assets inside the Soviet Union and did permanent damage to the American intelligence community. The psychological motivations that ultimately led Ames to commit treason, specifically his familial background and personal hardships, career trajectory, and political beliefs, are examined. The remarkable spy craft of the KGB and the failure of a joint CIA-FBI counterintelligence operation explains why Ames was not apprehended for nine years.

This essay examines the research question of “To what extent were the covert actions of the United States in Syria during the years of 1949-1957 justified?”. Context is provided about the situation from which these events emerged and the consequences which they had.


In this research two claims are postulated and examined based on primary and secondary sources  – firstly one that claims that the actions were justified and secondly one which claims that the actions were not justified.


The essay ultimately concludes that the covert operations carried out from 1949 to 1957 were not justified due to resulting in negative consequences, both for the United States and for the Syrian state. It is argued that in using such aggressive measures to change the political situation (overt coup attempts coupled with mobilization of military forces to pressure Syria), the United States was bound to, in fact, worsen the situation. This manifested itself in a failure to remove Communist influences, the birth of a larger anti-Americanism in the Syrian society and the looming threat of nuclear conflict between superpowers.

The topic was examined through a range of primary and secondary sources. Primary sources mainly consisted of various recently declassified CIA documents which I obtained through FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests and which were subsequently physically mailed to me; albeit at times as redacted versions, as not all information has been declassified. These documents laid the foundation for this research, giving a first-hand account of the mindset, available intelligence and operation methods of the CIA during the examined period. In addition extensive use was made of secondary sources, notable among them being academic papers by Douglas Little, a renowned American historian specializing on the Middle East and works by John McHugo, another historian specializing in the history of Arab states.

För att förstå hysterin om Putin måste vi titta på Rysslands historia sedan Sovjetunionens upplösning år 1991.
När Boris Yeltsin hade tagit makten var en av hans första handlingar att få in en grupp ekonomer från det neoliberala ekonomiska institutet, som är baserat i London.
Resultatet av att Jeltsin antog den neoliberala ekonomiska agendan var effektivt plundringen av Rysslands ekonomi med förödande effekter på det ryska folket. Stödet från den amerikanska regeringen för Jeltsins politik var utbrett med den så kallade Wolfowitz-doktrinen som föreskrev att ingen nation någonsin måste tillåtas stiga upp till Sovjetunionens nivå och det skulle nu bara vara en unipolär värld under dominans av
USA.
När Vladimir Putin valdes till president år 2000 stoppades äntligen plundringen av Rysslands ekonomi och de neoliberala ekonomerna kastades ut samtidigt som förstörelsen av Rysslands industrier stoppades. Putin avvisade klart Wolfowitz-doktrinen som ledde till flera uppror i Rysslands Kaukasus, som Moskva misstänkte hade stöd och anstiftan av brittiska agenter.

Med denna senaste bok “Ryssland efter Jeltsin” har Tore Gannholm täckt hela Rysslands historia från dess början då Varjagerna härskade.
Sedan har vi tiden då en hel svensk arme tas till fånga och tillbringar 12 år i Sibirien.
Och nu denna bok som behandlar smärtorna efter det totalitära Sovjets upplösning och stegen mot full demokrati trots alla externa hot mot Rysslands existens.
Tore Gannholm har utnyttjat de historiska källorna med sträng källkritik vilket resulterat i en helt annan bild av Ryssland än vi är vana vid i de Russofobiska svenska medierna.

Historien har nu hunnit ifatt den amerikanska propaganda och svenska Russofobi som vi hela tiden matas med i svenska medier. Tore Gannholm har som historiker med skarp källkritik gått igenom kända källor och presenterar en helt annan bild av vårt östra grannland.
Efter president George H.W. Bushs nederlag till återval föll det på Bill Clinton, som blev
president i januari 1993 att formulera en långsiktig politik mot post-sovjetiska Ryssland.
Med tanke på Rysslands enastående potential för både väsentligt samarbete och oöverträffade faror, ärvde Clinton-administrationen historiskt ansvar för att Rysslands politik, som de lärda säger, skall rättvist förstås.
Detta misslyckades katastrofalt, och de amerikanska tjänstemännen som var involverade i dessa beslut fortsatte att försvara denna politik som gick ut på att slå sönder Ryssland för att komma åt dess naturresurser.
Det krävs ingen examen i internationella relationer för att förstå att den första principen om politik mot postkommunistiska Ryssland borde ha varit att följa det “hippokratiska förbudet”: Gör ingen skada! Gör ingenting för att undergräva dess ömtåliga stabilitet, inget att avskräcka Kreml från att ge första prioritet åt att reparera nationens sönderfallande infrastrukturer, inget att få det att lita mer på sina lager av supermaktsvapen istället för att minska dem, ingenting att göra Moskva mindre än fullt samarbetande med väst i dessa och andra vitala sysslor.
Allt annat i det splittrade landet var av betydligt mindre betydelse.
Den amerikanska politiken blev annorlunda - ett obevekligt, ”segraren” tar allt och fullt
utnyttjande av Rysslands svaghet efter 1991.
Tillsammans med brutna amerikanska löften, nedlåtande föreläsningar och krav på ensidiga medgivanden, var och förblir den officiella retoriken ännu mer aggressiv och kompromisslös än vad Washington hade mot Sovjetkommunistiska Ryssland.
Det är viktigt att specificera de grundläggande delarna i denna faktiska politik när den utvecklas - med fullt stöd i båda de stora amerikanska politiska partierna, inflytelserika medier och liberala och konservativa tankesmedjor - sedan början av 1990-talet, om inte bara för att den bitit sig fast i Moskvas minne:

The diploma thesis Women in CIA: From Typists to Trailblazers? analyzes the role of women in the CIA. The development of female workforce within the CIA is tracked in connection to key reforms of the American intelligence community and demands of liberal feminism. The thesis mainly deals with the change of the role of women in the US society and studies areas of intelligence work where gender discrimination against women took place. Although in the past years the number of women on different positions in the CIA proportionally increased, the Agency top management faces a relative scarcity of women. This lower representation of women in the CIA's leadership can diminish effective accomplishment of the CIA's mission. Key Agency's report served for analysis of the transformation of the status of women in the CIA and also for indentifying concrete problems leading to scarcity of women in the CIA's leadership. The author also proposed some incentives for enhancing female representation in the Agency top management.

ABSTRACT

The CIA designed and implemented the Phoenix program during the Vietnam War in order to coordinate the attack on the political and military leadership of the Viet Cong. The program was actually a small part of the whole pacification effort designed to eliminate support for the Viet Cong among the rural population in South Vietnam. The Phoenix program employed very few Americans or Vietnamese on a full-time basis. It consisted mostly of committees at every political level, from the hamlet to the national level, representing all South Vietnamese agencies, departments, and military organizations. The program, which lasted from 1967 to 1973, was part of the overall pacification effort, under CORDS, designed to win the rural countryside away from the Viet Cong guerillas. Initially, Phoenix planners intended to include the South Vietnamese as participants, with the idea of eventually giving them full control. Despite such intentions, the program remained American.

The predecessors to the Phoenix program included, PT-4 and ICEX, both CIA programs designed to coordinate and plan attacks on the VCI. Whereas the earlier programs had been unabashedly American operations, the Phoenix program actually attempted to involve the South Vietnamese in the planning and operations. Throughout the Phoenix program's existence, the GVN displayed little interest or desire to control the program, and, in fact, American advisors to the program often complained about the lack of South Vietnamese support. While under American management, the Phoenix program acquired an unsavory reputation for assassination and ineffectiveness. It was a reputation that came in part from the secrecy that surrounded the program, especially in the United States, and in part from the CIA-sponsored Provincial Reconnaissance Units that often worked for the program. The PRUs were paramilitary groups of ex-Viet Cong, convicts, mercenaries, and draft dodgers trained and led by Americans, often Green Berets, and generally accepted to be among the best Vietnamese soldiers fighting for the GVN. They also had a tough reputation for torturing and murdering captives.

Now, twenty years after the event, the CIA has yet to authorize the release of many Phoenix documents, making a comprehensive history of the program at this point in time impossible. One particular section of the program of which there is very little information is that of operations to infiltrate the VCI, though indications are that it may have been one of the most effective segments. The CIA relinquished control of the program to MACV in 1968, but despite many humanitarian and procedural improvements instituted in 1968-69, the program's sordid reputation remained. Available documents, mostly MACV files, reveal nothing in the way of assassination plots. Only a few eyewitnesses have come forward since the end of the war.

The Phoenix program suffered from bad press, a lack of GVN support, and an American unwillingness to take the time or effort to train properly their Vietnamese counterparts. Supporters and detractors alike complained of the program's ineffectiveness. The primary indicators that the program was actually quite effective come from the much maligned statistics of the Southeast Asia Analysis Reports, and the Phoenix program's targets: the Viet Cong infrastructure themselves.

The Bay of Pigs fiasco was doomed from the start.  From President Eisenhower's obsession with the threat of Communist rule and his impatient and aggressive drive to eliminate Fidel Castro to the unrealistic expectations of maintaining covert status all the way through the execution of Operation Zapata under the office of President Kennedy, the Bay of Pigs was littered with evidence contrary to its expected successful outcome (Andrew 1995, 251-266).

Tal estudo pretende ser apenas uma porta de entrada para que o tema seja mais amplamente estudado por cientistas brasileiros, seja em assuntos relacionados à meditação, em qualquer de suas formas, ou outros mais diretamente ligados à Parapsicologia, História ou até nas áreas da Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais.
