Background:
Understanding public behavioral responses to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) epidemic and the accompanying infodemic is crucial to controlling the epidemic.

Objective:
The aim of this study was to assess real-time public awareness and behavioral responses to the COVID-19 epidemic across 12 selected countries.

Methods:
Internet surveillance was used to collect real-time data from the general public to assess public awareness and rumors (China: Baidu; worldwide: Google Trends) and behavior responses (China: Ali Index; worldwide: Google Shopping). These indices measured the daily number of searches or purchases and were compared with the numbers of daily COVID-19 cases. The trend comparisons across selected countries were observed from December 1, 2019 (prepandemic baseline) to April 11, 2020 (at least one month after the governments of selected countries took actions for the pandemic).

Results:
We identified missed windows of opportunity for early epidemic control in 12 countries, when public awareness was very low despite the emerging epidemic. China's epidemic and the declaration of a public health emergency of international concern did not prompt a worldwide public reaction to adopt health-protective measures; instead, most countries and regions only responded to the epidemic after their own case counts increased. Rumors and misinformation led to a surge of sales in herbal remedies in China and antimalarial drugs worldwide, and timely clarification of rumors mitigated the rush to purchase unproven remedies.
Conclusions:
Our comparative study highlights the urgent need for international coordination to promote mutual learning about epidemic characteristics and effective control measures as well as to trigger early and timely responses in individual countries.

Early release of official guidelines and timely clarification of rumors led by governments are necessary to guide the public to take rational action.

İlhan Bâydû, Geyhâtû Han’ın tahttan indirilmesi ve Şehzâde Gâzân ile giriştiği hâkimiyet mücadelesi olaylarında İran Moğolları tarihi açısından önemli yer tutmaktadır. Onun zamanında İlhan Geyhâtû’nun da etkisiyle Anadolu ve İran coğrafyasında başıbozukluk, ekonomik sıkıntılar, askerî düzensizlik ve emirlerin itaatsizlikleri dikkat çekicidir. VI. ilhan olan ve İran Moğol Hanları arasında en az süreyle tahtta kalan Bâydû, sadece beş buçuk ay hükümdar olabilmiştir. Devlet ve ordu işlerine Şehzâde Gâzân ile yaşadığı taht kavgasından dolayı yeteri kadar zaman ayıramamıştır. Geyhâtû’nun “Cengiz Yasasına” aykırı şekilde katledilmesini bahane ederek ayaklanan Argûn Han’ın oğlu Şehzâde Gâzân, emirlerin de desteklerini sağlayarak Bâydû Han’ı bertaraf etmiş ve tahta geçmiştir. Böylece 25 Nisan 1295’de emirlerin desteklerini sağlayarak İlhanlı tahtını gasp eden Bâydû,  yine aynı emirlerin taraf değiştirmesi neticesinde 4 Ekim 1295’de Şehzâde Gâzân tarafından hükümdarlığından el çektirilerek idam edilmiş ve Geyhâtû’yla aynı akıbeti paylaşmıştır. Kaynakların verdiği sınırlı malumata göre Bâydû, sözüne güvenilir olmasına rağmen devlet yönetimi ve siyaset konusunda oldukça maharetsiz birisidir.

Ilkhan Baidu is of great significance in the history of Mongol Empire's Ilkhanate division in Iran as regards the overthrow of Gaykhatu Khan and his struggle for domination with Prince Ghazan. His period was marked by the lack of discipline in Anatolia and Iran, economic difficulties, military disorder and disobedience of orders with the influence of Ilkhan Gaykhatu. Baidu, the sixth ruler with the shortest period on the throne among all the khans of Iranian Mongols, was a monarch for only five months. He couldn’t allocate sufficient time for the state and army due to the struggle for the throne with Prince Ghazan. Prince Ghazan, the son of Arghun Khan, who rebelled on the grounds of Gaykhatu’s murder which was against Genghis Khan’s legal code deposed Baidu Khan and succeeded to the throne with the support of the emirs. Therefore, on 4 October 1295, as a result of the emirs’ changing sides, Baidu, who seized the Ilkhanid throne on 25 April 1295, was dethroned by Prince Ghazan and executed similar to Gaykhatu. According to the limited information available, despite his being reliable, Baidu lacked capacity to govern the state and make policy.

In this article the authors analyse the reform of listing rules in China and the operating mechanism of the new Chinese Depositary Receipts (CDRs). Most technology giants in mainland China, such as Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, JD and NetEase have listed their shares on overseas stock markets such as Hong Kong and New York, in order to avoid China’s rigid and onerous listing rules concerning foreign ownership, variable interest entities, weighted voting rights and the strict profitability requirement. Recently, the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) has launched a pilot project to allow certain foreign-listed Chinese companies to issue CDRs which can be traded in the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges. Technically speaking, CDRs are not shares but they represent equity interests in foreign companies through an offshore custodian bank. Clearly, the popularisation of CDRs will benefit several parties. Chinese investors will be able to purchase interests in some of the top tech companies in the world. It will also lure international capital to the Chinese market and boost the valuation of issuing companies. The market scale of CDRs is estimated to be over $1 trillion, which will be a source of income for investment banks and international law firms.

Jadi menurut saya perbandingan kedua item/produk ini terletak pada 2 hal yaitu bentuk dan focus fungsi. Berikut saya akan menjelaskan.
Yang pertama ada bentuk. Pada segi bentuk Google Glass lebih mirip dengan kacamata dengan fungsi smartphone yang bisa digunakan dalam kacamata tersebut. Sedangkan Baidu tidak berbentuk kacamata melainkan seperti tangkai yang melilit lingkar kepala kita sebatas kuping kanan sampai kuping kiri.
Dan yang kedua dari segi fungsi. Fungsi keduanya berbeda focus. Google Glass berfokus untuk memindahkan fungsi android ke dalam bentuk sebuah kacamata sehingga lebih futuristic dan efisien. Sedangkan focus fungsi baidu yaitu untuk menganalisa keadaan sekitar lebih efisien dan cepat.

This article examines the role that the CEOs of China’s tech giants (Baidu, Alibaba, and Tencent [BAT]) play as advocates of China’s vision of mass innovation. It seeks, first, to understand what mass innovation is and the conditions for its success and then goes on to divine how the three individuals involved—Jack Ma (Alibaba), Robin Li (Baidu), Ma Huateng (Tencent)—combine the narrative of Silicon Valley individuated cyber-libertarianism and the collectivist socialism of China to convert the grassroots over to the gospel of mass innovation. In doing so, it traces the rise and beliefs of the trio but uses primarily Jack Ma’s and Alibaba’s growing prominence in Southeast Asia as a case in point of BAT’s influence outside of China.

In the second half of the 2010s, AI has become a major hype across Chinese tech industries, venture capital investment, and government policy. The BAT national champions (Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent) have heavily invested in AI research and development, opening research centers in China and abroad to attract global talent, while thousands of startups have jumped on the AI hype to attract investment and reap the benefits of generous government funding. In a wave of innovation rhetoric closely resembling the previous hypes around Web 2.0 and Big Data, AI has become the most recurring buzzword in Chinese tech: besides its more predictable applications (industrial automation, self-driving cars, natural language processing and computer vision), almost everything in China – from e-commerce platforms to public utilities – is revamped as an ostensibly ‘AI-powered’ service. Drawing on research into the development of artificial intelligence technologies and products, this chapter charts China’s AI hype via its representation across government policy documents, industry advertisement, commercial products and popular culture. As trends and catchphrases travel between corporate boardrooms and policy think tanks to propaganda materials and music videos, the interplay between technical innovation and planned development reveals how AI is constructed, in real time, at the intersection of sociotechnical constraints and national imaginations.
