We explore the unplumbed dimension of the O-L-I specific advantage of the firm in this research by shifting the focus from the entry mode of MNEs to problems faced by home-based manufacturer exporters, which is unique from its original concept. The proposed approach transposes the idea and implication of the eclectic paradigm in an international trade setting. To test the upside-down approach of the O-L-I framework, various challenges were identified through EFA and CFA, and in the final phase, the impact of ownership, location and internalization has been measured (using path analysis) on production problems faced by these manufacturer exporters. We used a structured questionnaire to collect the data from 220 motors and pump manufacturer exporters from January to September 2021. Moreover, the Coimbatore city wears the crown of ‘Pump City of Asia’, which makes the spot an ideal place for generalization of research and optimization of desired results. The research outcome illustrates the significant impact of location and internalization on the production problems encountered by the manufacturer exporters. The novelty of the study is substantiated by extending the application of O-L-I specific advantage for FDI to home-based exports, which we labelled as the ‘up-side-down approach’ of the O-L-I framework.

The study aims to explore the effect of dimensions of green marketing orientation (GMO) on green innovation and organizational performance utilizing the fundamental concepts of GMO theory, institutional theory, and resource‐based theory, or natural resource‐based view. In this research, we mainly explore the unplumbed effect of internal (IGMO), strategic (SGMO), and tactical green marketing orientation (TGMO) of the firm using the GMO theory. Although few scientific attempts tried to measure the effect of IGMO, SGMO, and TGMO, a majority of them disdained the idea of its integrated effect and adopted a futile approach while positioning these constructs in their model. In addition, we investigated stakeholders' role (moderating) in green innovation practices and organizational performance. The proposed model is tested using survey data collected from 201 top and middle‐level working professionals from manufacturing to service industries in India. We used a structured questionnaire and covariance‐based structure equation modeling for the path estimation. All three dimensions showed a direct positive significant effect on green innovation. Only tactical TGMO showed a direct effect on organizational performance, while the other two showed an indirect effect only on organizational performance mediated through green innovation. The study also established the moderating effect of stakeholders' view on the relationships between green innovation and organizational performance. Conclusively, we contribute to GMO theory by extending the scope for further academic/market validation and concurrently advancing managerial inferences for business strategists and market practitioners on sustainable organizational development.

The study identifies the challenges motor and pump exporters face in the Coimbatore region. This city is also called as ‘Pump City of Asia’. Despite the export potential, these exporters are facing challenges which are largely ignored by researchers, academicians, and policymakers. The application of motors and pumps in numerous industries signifies the need for research in this particular sector, especially the export segments. Various challenges faced by motor and pump exporters in this region were identified to test the hypothesis. In a later stage, we tried to measure the impact of these export issues on the export performance of the firms. The study assumed that various export challenges directly or indirectly impact motor and pump exports. We tried to explore the association between export problems and export performance, contrary to all the previous studies conducted by researchers and academicians on motor and pump exports. Purpose
The impact of Goods and Service Tax (GST) on the motor and pump exports in the Coimbatore region is measured in this study using various parameters and scales. The data collected from exporters were used to identify the pros and cons of GST, stating their opinions on variables considered by the researchers through extensive literature on GST and exports.
Design/methodology/approach-The data were collected from 220 motors and pump exporters through a field survey from the month of January to September 2021. The impacts have been measured using principal component analysis (PCA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The factor analyses and CFA will derive the positive and negative impact of GST determined through critical empirical evidence in this study. Also, the problems faced by the exporters allied to GST, which the authors could not include in the questionnaire due to certain reasons, are concisely apportioned and discussed.
Findings-The study depicts the major advantages of GST, such as harmonized system, long-run performance, reduction in logistics cost, check-post operation, bonds and ease of doing business. Also, it highlights the disadvantages of GST, such as biases in the indirect tax system, the reimbursement of duty drawback being late or pending and document filing was still a tedious job under the GST regime.
Originality/value-The unavailability of considerable literature on the impact of GST on Indian exports signifies the novelty of this research. So far, this is the first empirical attempt to measure the impact of GST on exports which is a unique and original attempt to highlight the problem that lies under the GST regime and the necessary reforms the tax structure needs in the context of Indian exports.

The nineteen years data from 1999-2000 till 2018-2019 is used for analysis. The OLS is used to establish a relationship between engineering exports and economic growth, the ADF is used to assess stationarity, and the ARDL and ECM are used to calculate the short-and long-term impact of engineering exports on economic growth. In addition, linear forecasting is used to anticipate the future growth of economic indicators. The results reveal that engineering exports had a favorable impact on most economic growth indicators in both the short and long run.

Abstract: The economic growth depicts prosperity and self sustainability of nation. Foreign Direct Investment considered as handful tool for growth of host nation is a general perception all over the globe. Now due to global webbed market, countries worldwide are anxious to exploit Asia-Pacific's huge market and rich culture. The empirical evidence and fact-based case study poses FDI and economic growth on fringe due to variation in during the different span of time. This study attempted to analyze the relationship between FDI and economic growth into and Sri Lanka. It is assumed that blend of developed, emerging and developing economies taking as base for comparison will derive the more satisfactory result. Also, it consists of large market driven economies in the world due to strong market base. To attain the result of GDP growth, Inflation rate and Unemployment rate has taken as economic growth indicator. The Ordinary Least Squares, Augmented Dicky-Fuller and Granger Causality test is used to estimate the effect of FDI on economic growth. The result shows that in spite of consistent pattern in FDI inflow not all the countries have experienced the significant effect of FDI on economic growth of nation. The implications in nation's policies are discussed in the study.
