14 Principles of Management

Few organizations achieve good performance of Lean implementation according to the Toyota model. Several authors agree that the principal reason of Lean failure is associated with the Organizational Culture. This article aims to explore an ideal Lean Culture, based on a Literature review and by a theoretical association of the Competing Values Framework (CVF) with The 14 Principles of the Toyota Way. The results show that the ideal Lean Culture would be more associated with the Hierarchy Culture. The contribution of this paper relies on inciting a discussion about Organizational Culture ideal for the implementation of Lean practices.

The impact that management theory and how the basic functions and practice of management as well as the role of the manager and approaches to management have contributed to the practice of emergency management. Current views of management theory stress the changing nature of the external environment and the need to understand and address these external forces for change.  The contribution and role of systems theory and contingency theory to the emergency management process are stressed.

Objectives of Principles of Management are coordination, efficiency, compliance to plan & controlling etc. Henri Fayol mentioned these principles in his book General and Industrial Management in the year 1917.
