Delay in the construction industry is a global phenomenon and are considered as one of the most persistent problems throughout the world. Its persistence lie in its significant cause to cost overrun which most often than not lead to abandoning the project. Although such in present more in some countries as against others, the construction industry of Yemen is no exception to it. The key controlling features of project success—time, cost, quality and safety—for a project are adversely affected by the impacts of such delays. The time extension in construction projects has many after effects among which the main are time extension, cost overrun, disputes, arbitrations and litigations. Previous studies have mostly emphasized on the major causes or the effects of project delays. The main purpose of this study is to identify the influential factors negatively affecting project successful completion on time. Using a picked set of 33 factors, this investigation at first recognized the key c...

Job performance is one of the most critical subjects in literature due to its crucial role in the success of organizations. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of organizational justice on job performance among academic staff. The study employed a quantitative method to analyse the data collected at three Iraqi public universities located in Baghdad by using questionnaires. Stratified sampling technique was used to ensure the equal distribution of the samples among the three universities’ academic staff. Only 197 responses were valid to be analysed by using Smart PLS. The findings showed that distributive justice and interactional justice positively impacted on academic performance and ability to increase the performance, while procedural justice did not impact on academic performance. However, distributive justice had a higher impact on the job performance of academic staff compared to interactional justice. The findings of this study imply that decision-makers at universities should pay more attention to the fair distribution of resources, payment, promotion and training to increase job performance.

Purpose of the study: The Malaysian government had encouraged the adoption of integrated cattle and oil palm farming systems (ICOFS) since the year 1998. This is due to large areas of land suitable for ICOFS in Malaysia that can be well utilized. The efforts made in increasing the demand for meat nationwide and growing dependency on imported meat are among the reasons that ICOFS has become significant to be implemented today. Apart from that, Malaysia needs to increase the self-sufficiency level of national meat production to 32.7% by 2020 as stated in the National Agri-Food Policy 2011-2020. Despite this, only a small number of farmers have adopted ICOFS in Malaysia and less is known so far about the farmer's attitudes towards the ICOFS in Malaysia. Methodology: Therefore, this study aimed to explore the current practice as well as factors affecting and constraints to the adoption of ICOFS in Malaysia. Interviews of four selected experts in ICOFS were held to examine the curren...

The use of e-banking services has increased competition for on-line customer satisfaction. Previous research works were done basically in terms of customer satisfaction from either the marketing or technical perspective. While each viewpoint has helped to improve understanding of online customer satisfaction, a framework to unify these views is lacking from the current literature. This study explores customer satisfaction of e-bank service via the integrated technical and marketing perspectives. The data collected from a total of 150 on-line e-bank customers were analyzed to test the hypotheses formulated using SPSS statistical package. Reliability analysis, descriptive and regression analysis were performed. There are seven main variables of marketing and technical factors. The results indicated that although these factors do have a tremendous influence on customer satisfaction, however, not all of them exert the same effect. Therefore, it is very important for researchers to take an integrative approach to determine customer satisfaction with e-bank online. The results of this study offer ideas on further enhancing e-bank customer satisfaction by improving technical and marketing of customer service.

Entrepreneurship intention for graduate student like many other job and work career options depends on other considerations. Literature reviews revealed that more research works are needed in examining the determinants of entrepreneurship intentions of students. This study is to determine the relationship between student’s entrepreneurial motivation and entrepreneurship intention. A total of 450 self-administered questionnaires were distributed to the students of the various faculties, races and student seniority at a Public University using the convenient and structured sampling method. Finally, 413 duly completed questionnaires were returned and used in the analyses. Correlation analysis and regression analysis showed that strength of motivation in choosing entrepreneurship as a career option among the students is related with entrepreneurship intention. The entrepreneurial motivation factors affecting career intention to be an entrepreneur are made up of behavioral control, subjective norm, and attitude towards entrepreneurship. Subjective norm (tolerance for risk) and attitude (desirability) of self-employment are significantly related to both student immediate and future intentions to be an entrepreneur. However, behavioral control entrepreneurial motivation is found to be significantly related to student immediate career intention but not significantly related to student future entrepreneurship career intention. Creating of opportunity for practice of key entrepreneurial behaviors is seen as crucial in cultivating entrepreneurial behaviors. Theory of Planned Behavior Model can be used as a tool to identify would be entrepreneur and target them for entrepreneurship career development. This study argued and supported the call that those youths who are really serious to start and own a business as would be entrepreneurs can be identified and targeted to develop through entrepreneurship interventions initiatives

This study investigates the role of national culture in succession planning. Higher education institutions ought to learn from corporate succession planning practices; nevertheless, succession planning principles must be adapted as needed to meet the unique needs of each institution. Studies of the influence of culture on succession planning in higher education institutions have not yet revealed the specific impact of national culture on succession planning. We use Hofstede's national culture dimensions, which are power distance, collectivism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance and long-term orientation. Data were gathered from five universities in Malaysia, and were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Our findings show that the national culture of university employees influences succession planning. This study contributes to existing understanding of factors affecting succession planning, points towards further research, helps practitioners by demonstrating the importance of taking national culture into account and indicates the importance of implementing succession planning in public universities in Malaysia.

Purpose of the study: This study aims to apply organizational commitment and job satisfaction as an indicator to stimulate organizational citizenship behaviours. Methodology: The data collected by a questionnaire survey conducted among a group of hotel employees in Baghdad, Iraq. The 200 questionnaires distributed, the researchers received 149, were valid responses. The data were analyzed by AMOS software after ensuring validity, Reliability, and model fit. Main Findings: The results revealed that organizational commitment and job satisfaction play a positive and influential role in changing the organizational citizenship behaviours among hotel employees. Also, organizational commitment has a stronger impact on improving the behaviour of employees than job satisfaction. Research limitations/implications: The study contributes to human resource managers as it reveals the influential role of firms' commitment and job satisfaction on altering staff behaviours towards organizational citizenship. Therefore, it is understood that more variables need to be considered, such as psychological contract and employees' empowerment. Novelty/Originality of this study: The finding can fill the gap in the literature related to this article in the Iraqi setting, where studies about organizational citizenship is not existing in this context.

Export promotion can be a differentiator for sales and profits. More research works are needed to explicitly delve into developing concrete models and multi-dimensional scales to strengthen the theoretical foundations for measuring export performance. This study uses SEM to model on export promotion, firm’s quality reputation, product and service quality for generating sales with profit. The respondents were the Johor State manufacturing exporters selected from the
Federation of Malaysia Manufacturers Directory based on Krejcie and Morgan sampling plan. Respondents answered a self-administered survey questionnaire. Results indicated that the observable variable of export promotion comprises of management of sales promotion activities, selecting and participating in relevant trade fairs, preparation of product literature, and evaluating channel performance. The latent variables that have loaded highly into enhancing firm’s quality are improving products, providing better service quality and gaining
reputation. The latent variables of sales performance that loaded in the observable measure of
export sales are export sales efficiency and export sales growth. Profits measure was found to comprise of export profitability and profit margin. Structural equation modelling of good fitting
has shown that export promotion enhances firm’s quality and will lead to higher sales with profits. Future research and practical implications are reported.
