A study conducted by The Standish Group in 2012 categorized only 39% of worldwide software development projects were successful while 43% were challenged and 18% were failed. This study aims to analyze critical success factors (CSFs) of software development projects in Indonesia in order to increase the likelihood for projects’ success. We initially conducted systematic literature review to identify the CSFs. These CSFs were then evaluated by 3 experts and the result was given as the input to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) tool namely the Expert Choice to yield a ranking. The AHP involved 23 experts in software development projects from Project Management Institute of Indonesia. This study found that business goal fulfilment is the most critical criterion while project management is the most critical category. Thus, considering both criteria and category, AHP primarily recommend scope management. Therefore, this study highly recommends project manager as well as software development organizations to establish a good strategy in implementing scope management.

In this digital age, modern citizens’ lives have considered information services provided by government agencies as one of their vital aspects. Along with the increasing number of social media users, some government agencies have chosen this new media as a channel for the delivery of information services. One important aspect that affects user satisfaction of information services through social media is information quality. Nevertheless, previous researches have not yet addressed the area of information services through social media that are provided by government agencies and answered specifically the question what information quality dimensions affect user satisfaction of the respective services. Hence, this study aims to answer accurately the question using a case study approach of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemdikbud) in Indonesia. Data of 150 respondents were collected through a survey towards the agency’s social media followers. This study found that intrinsic information quality, namely accuracy, believability, reputation, and objectivity, is essential to user satisfaction. In terms of representational quality, ease of understanding and interpretability is considered crucial while in the contextual information quality, completeness, timeliness, informativeness, and value-added is deemed important.

Balancing economic and environmental activities is an important issue for organizations. Green IT has emerged as a solution towards the problem. This research attempts to measure the maturity of Green IT in organizations in Indonesia based on the G-Readiness model and also to identify drivers of and inhibitors to its implementation. Then, it tries to identify strategy for organization and government to enhance Green IT adoption. This was done by conducting a questionnaire survey to IT workers from various companies in Indonesia. The results show the maturity is at medium level and that it focuses on energy consumption efficiency. Furthermore, economic factors, i.e. improving brand image and reducing operational cost of IT function, are identified as main drivers. In addition, internal factor, namely, lack of leadership ability was found to be the main inhibitor. Additionally, it is also revealed that government support in form of incentives and regulations are necessary.

: The opportunity to broaden the marketing target by taking advantage of the emerging technology of cloud computing is encouraging the business provider in launching the Software as a Service (SaaS) as a service product for the consumers. However, the SaaS service provided sometimes is not running as smoothly as expected which may impact to the customers perception on the SaaS quality. The purposes of the research are to identify the SaaS quality factors and to utilize these factors in developing a framework to evaluate the SaaS service quality given by the SaaS Providers. The framework is developed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and involving 10 respondents with 4-18 years experiences in SaaS field. The result of the process shows that there are 32 factors that influence the SaaS quality. These factors consist of 15 factors related to product, 10 factors related to process and 7 factors related to organisation. The highest priority of each group of factors are security factor for product group, quality control factor for process group and technically competent employees factor for organisation group. We also demonstrate the application of the SaaS service quality factors framework to evaluate the SaaS service quality in one of the SaaS based human resource management application vendor.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a product that enables organizations achieving their competitive advantage. However, the failures of ERP implementation are still considered quite high. This research was conducted to formulate the framework of self-assessment of open source ERP implementation readiness, which focused on the ERP pre-implementation aspects. The proposed ERP implementation readiness assessment framework was developed using the Fuzzy-based ANP (Fuzzy ANP), where the examined readiness factors are grouped into three categories, namely project management, organizational, and change management readiness. In order to see the application of the framework, we conducted a case study on an SME engaged in software development. We did focus group discussion with Chief Technology Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Project Manager. The results showed that the company is not ready to implement open source ERP. Although the company is strong in the human resources aspect, they are still weak in other aspects so that they need some strategies to improve their level of readiness before implementing open source ERP.

E-commerce marketing channel is a media that fully mediated by information technology, depriving the intrinsic attributes of services, and creating information asymmetry. Information asymmetry can reduce consumer ability to evaluate services effectively, hence posing a challenge to service providers. Signaling theory provides a framework for understanding how extrinsic attributes (signals) can be used by service providers to communicate the information quality of services to consumers. This paper proposes a model to investigate how the quality of a university official website acts as a signal of quality of university education as commercial service. This research divides university website quality into several dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, functionality, ease of use, information quality, and visual appeal. Questionnaires are distributed to third year students of senior high schools around Jakarta to observe the quality of university website based on those dimensions. Based on the analysis of the 117 questionnaires, the conclusion is that the quality of a university website influences the perception of the quality of university education, which eventually affects the intentions of prospective students to enroll to the university.

We run and trace the website log for 4 and 7 months. Our findings show that SEO plug-ins are capable to increase traffic to publisher website. Social media plug-in provides additional benefit to bring traffic, however, the traffic is less significant compared to the one from search engine. These findings have implications to the following: (1) the organizations need to pay attention on the way they organize information in their website, (2) the introduction of search ability aspect for measuring service quality for web application.

"Purpose – This research aims to develop a framework for measuring readiness level of Business Intelligence (BI) implementation.
Design/methodology/approach –  We formulated our farmework by using Critical Success Factors (CSFs) of BI implementation. The weight of each dimension in the framework is determined by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The validation of the model is performed by involving five (5) BI experts.
Findings – The proposed framework comprises of three categories: organizational, process and technology. The number of aspects for organizational, process and technology are nine, four, and five respectively. Among other aspects, strategic alignment, committed management support and sponsorship, clear vision and well-established business case, and business-centric championship and balanced team composition are considered the most important aspects to measure BI implementation readiness.
Practical implication – In order to gain success in BI implementation, it is necessary that organizations conduct assessment on its current condition to identify their weaknesses.
Originality/value – We proposed a framework for measuring BI implementation readiness, which is currently unavailable. Current researchs in BI mainly focus in the implementation aspects, whereas our research focuses on pre-implementation aspects. We hope by considering our proposed framework, organizetions can provide better BI services in its implementation, thus BI gives more value to help organization in decision making.

Purpose – This research aims to develop a framework for formulating change management strategies to support the implementation of Knowledge Management System (KMS). The proposed framework then we used to formulate change management strategies of KMS implementation  in PT. TelkomVision Indonesia.
Design/methodology/approach – In order to develop the framework, we reviewed some literatures. Among these literatures, we decided to combine the theory of system thinking concept, Lewin’s Three Steps Model and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The system thinking concept is used to develop the change management strategies. Subsequently, the resulted strategies are mapped to Lewin’s Three Steps Model that provides a framework for managing changes. Lastly, the strategies are prioritized by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP).
Findings – We have tested our proposed framework to obtain change management strategies for KMS implementation in PT. Telkom Vision Indonesia. We obtained change management strategies which consists of 12 strategies that we divided into three steps as in the theory of Lewin’s Three Steps Model.
Practical implication – Our proposed framework can be adopted by other organizations that want to implement KMS. We also consider our proposed framework is general and can be applied for other domains.
Originality/value – We proposed a framework for developing change management strategies for Knowledge Management System Implementation, which is currently unavailable. Most researchers focus on the development of effective KMS as a tool for knowledge sharing, whereas we focus on a different point of view, particularly in formulating a framework for developing strategies in order to make KMS can be accepted and used succesfully by its users.
