AUTOBIOGRAPHY: A BIT ABOUT ME AND MY BOOK..

Greeting everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am Dr. Linda Irby.  My Doctorate is in Education, from Seattle University (2002), specializing in Transformational Leadership, Proactive Management and Labor Relations.  The immersion in fluid application of academic research with pragmatic, real time teaching and work situations, has provided the platform for my newest book “Christ Consciousness: Voice is energy, energy creates form.”

My previous book, Leadership Voices™: Neutralizing Bullies, Determinedly Difficult People, and Predators at Work, ((2006)” focused on pragmatic, practicable, identification of:  intolerable, disruptive work place actives which may include assaults and or battery behavior(s).  This new book looks at the immense proliferation of fear, isolation, self-centered, and indifferent basic human compassion and the pursuit of power, and the all-encompassing worshiping of greed.

The changes within our founding fathers American Republic, democratic, and primarily Christian values have eroded to encompass an unimaginable hedonistic, stringent, and callous political and social cesspool.  However, there are still a significant number of U.S. citizens that find this overemphasized bleakness disappointing, but far from being the norm.  “Christ Consciousness” invites the reader to explore our individual core values, and is there a gap between what we say we believe with how we behave.  Many individuals profess to adhere to some type of religion and/or spirituality.  Those individuals who profess neither practice nor  interest in some form of religion and/or spirituality have some cornerstone from which they derive their core values. This book challenges each of us to appreciate that our voice is energy, and our energy (especially collectively) creates form.  I look forward to our dialogue as we consider this proposition.

Why is the title semi-transparent, therefore so hard to read?
      Remember about 10 – 15 years ago they came out with these books/pictures that at first notice appeared to only be a “mess of colors.”  The observer was encouraged to concentrate and focus … and then they were able to read the words and/or see the pictures.
      One had to concentrate and consciously become aware of what was actually in the picture/on the page.  Well, that’s the idea about “Christ Consciousness,” one must be aware and focused.
      Each person has to actively seek conscious awareness, and recognize what they see. This is why the letters comprising the book’s title are deliberately not what we are use to seeing, they are semi-transparent.  Christ’s Consciousness is always with us, it is up to us to want to recognize, and obey.

Regardless of who you are, what your religious or spiritual conviction if any, you are invited to join us in this book's adventures. Before COVID-19's global pandemic engulfed the world, if you lived in the United States you may remember the "good old days," as January 2020, started? We had such hope and energy, yes, retrospectively life was good. How did we miss the catastrophic chaotic premonitions? There were warnings, we ignored them. Sometimes catastrophic change surreptitiously shows up: unassumingly, inoffensively, and then ferociously and permanently alters our existence.

LEADERSHIP VOICES ™: Values, Proactive Management, and Consciousness

This study is intended to be operationally beneficial to contemporary business leaders and managers.  This research considered whether or not survey participants realized that their Voice reflected their values?  And, did questionnaire respondent’s values include any religious or spiritual propensity they might hold.  The research focused on identifying the common Voices, if any, among sacred values, proactive management principles, and community consciousness.  The author derived the term “Leadership Voices ™ to represent the common element identified when leadership principles presented in Christian tenets (as practiced within the United States) are compared to proactive management principles.

      This book starts with the premise (based on my 2002 doctoral dissertation), “Leadership Voices™: Values, Proactive Management, and Consciousness,” that consciousness is not something to be obtained, but something each of us has and we “just have to” recognize our inextricable and unbreakable connection.
      In tumultuous, sustained predatory deadly pandemic, fiscally consumptive, and sustained emotional and physical isolation: is your spirit evaporating?  Core values need to work “hand-in-hand” with accurate discernment to make decisions: thus Christ Consciousness.  Our core values should be deliberately considered daily as we make our zillions of small decisions, so when perilous life decisions occur, we are automatedly grounded.  Both change and chaos influence the Transformational Leader’s competencies and her ability to influence others to accomplish desired outcome. The leader should have the ability to adapt problem-solving styles to the situation, help others invest in inclusive, common core values, goals, and visions. 
      Typically we tend to want both stability and then want change for variety. However, we want “the change” to be convenient, not threatening or compromise our core values. Our core values are those non-negotiable values we are willing to die for rather than renege. When “core values” are considered a wish list, and “consciousness is a social cliché: then civil disobedience, psychopathic, narcissistic and authoritarian behaviors prevail. At this stage, life hovers in the berserk category. 
      Christ’s Consciousness is being mindful, inquisitive, chronicling, and analyzing. This process of outward observation and inward self-reflective review facilitates learning new information, assessing data, and coming to either a conclusion(s) or reasonable inferences. Sometimes there is insufficient time to completely weigh all options, align options with your core values, and then act. When the capability to consider and analyze is time-limited, for whatever reason, then you will have to make the best decision based on the information you have. One’s discernment and being consciously aware facilitates the best decisions.

These are my personal notes based on our Bible study's group topic.  Your independent notes may differ from mine.  If we do differ, we might want to compare where and how we differ.  Resolution of our discrepancies, in my opinion may not be necessary, but understanding the variations arrived from the scriptures is definitely a learning experience for me.

One evening I’m at home minding my own business, deep in conflict with household chores versus relaxing with a bowl of peaches and strawberries while listening to a Clive Cussler’s Oregon Files, “ “Typhoon Fury.”  My phone rang, and I was lured to answer as a reprieve from having “do the right thing,” excused by chatting with my friend.

My friend, politely described as significantly irritated.  As everyone was leaving church or milling around being sociable my friend was chatting with several people.  The irritation started when a parishioner usurped the ongoing conversation.  Some part of that morning’s service mentioned that it is an abomination for two women to lie with each other.  This woman, stated she is a lesbian, and there is not a single scripture in the Bible that condemns two women, from “laying with each other.  Only two men are condemned are to lie with each other. She challenged the individuals in the small group to disprove her statement.

After listening to my friend, of course my immediate response was that this (lesbian) woman’s statement was/is absurd.  God has strict distain against sexual misconduct is a sin.  Any individual who commits a sin (any sin), without repentance and stopping the misbehavior, will spend eternity in hell.  God’s word is everlasting, unchanging, and does not contradict itself.

I promised my friend I’d find a few scriptures (according to God’s word no less that two or three scriptures are required from any of the Bible’s verses, to agree).  This is to stop any individual from “cherry picking,” just one scripture and contending “The Bible says,” when in fact the provided scripture may be taken out of context, not relevant, or misleading with regard to the topic the scripture is being used to “fit” the issue.  Well, I’d “put my foot in it,” by volunteering to help my friend provide this mislead woman her contention is false.

ANNOUNCING - the soon to be released book #3 in the Leadership Voices™ series, book title:

CONSCIOUSNESS, FLOW WTIH CHANGES, AND STIMULATE PROSPERITY.
Contemporary leaders are influencers, mentoring diverse psychologically unique followers, constituents, and  naysayers  to achieve objectives.

We (TBN Trilogy Christian Publishing, Inc. and I), are looking forward to the release of this book sometime around October/September 2023.  I am looking forward to releasing a preliminary Table of Contents for this book sometime around the second or third week of April 2023. So you can review the topics related to Leadership in today’s world, with core values, actual leadership, and achieving prosperity as well as maintaining a healthy work environment.  Change is inevitable, chaos is probable (2023 -2035) sometimes, core values are essential.

Leaders view the future, motivate in the present, and realize that the collective voice of the leader and followers create form - from their combined strengths. The two overwhelming, tenacious, challenges for (COVID -19 warriors) leaders at every level: (1) Followers are drained emotionally, fearful, and skeptical about “everything.” (2) The increase of individuals who have psychological and personality disorders are operating on a predatory, short trigger, and failure is not an option. This book specifically addresses these topics.

Each of us has a Voice. Our Voice cannot be more or less than “who” and
“what” we are. Paradoxically, it is our Voice that determines and sustains—
or changes, “who” and “what” we are. Our Voice always creates form; you
know: our visions, our future, our present, as it did our past. In other words,
we cannot escape our Voice whether we are aware of “it,” believe “it” manifests form, or know “it” is a perfect reflection and projection of our core values, desires, and motives. So what, specifically, is this Voice that each of us
has? Our Voice is our awareness, observation, witnessing or being mindful of
our mind or state-of-being (including our internal dialogue or our dialogue
with another person), either spoken or written.
How often have you read or heard that a leader must have a Voice that envisions and clearly articulates his or her vision? Or perhaps you’ve heard that
if you can conceptualize “it” you can achieve “it.” These sentiments are motivational but have you ever wondered just how do you get “it,” and, other than
magic, how does one’s Voice create form? For most of us, the practicality of
these motivational sentiments is that viewing and manifesting our desires is
only slightly less difficult than knowing (notice I didn’t say “believing”) that

voice is energy and energy create form. More often than not there is a disconnect between our Voice and our ability to:
1. specifically and clearly mentally draw the picture of what we want,
2. acknowledge that it does matter what and how we self-talk,
3. have the mental discipline to be internally congruent with our vision, our
desires, and our actions; and
4. be aware that through association there is assimilation—in other words it
really does matter whom we respect, associate with, and what their Voice
reinforces or destroys within us.
Each of us has within ourselves the essential elements to have our Voice
make each and every one of our dreams, desires, hopes, wishes, and needs
manifest for us—in the perfect form that is for our highest good and for the
benefit of others. Or, as Dr. Bruce Lipton’s book The Biology of Belief (2005)
so elegantly concludes as he outlines the holistic, often complex interactions
between matter and energy, “You are only as powerful as your belief system.”
For instance, at work and in your personal relationships have you ever conceptualized living and working in a harmonious environment that was personally affirming, shared core values, and wealth was abundant? Do you realize that all you need to start the manifestation of this vision is for you to
hear your own Voice and to be open to the possibility this will occur? This
first personal step, being open is—so to speak—equivalent to “ringing the
doorbell” to your conscious awareness. When you finally hear the “door bell”
and open the door to your conscious awareness you begin the discovery that
your vision is the manifestation of precisely “who” and “what” you are. Your
vision is one tangible manifestation of your energetic Voice. Your Voice is energy, and energy creates form.

OK, now we have given the obligatory nod to the esoteric good feeling stuff.  This is not a snarky statement, but one to emphasize that if you are involved on a regular basis with bullies, determinedly difficult people, and predators you have some serious business you need to attend to either: detach, confront, acquiesce, engage with legal consultation or any combination until you either: resolve the situation become embittered, become a despicable person, or vanquish your nemesis.

None of these options will be pleasant (but you haven't been this way in a long time).  Some affiliations will noticeably change or disappear.  Your finances may be drained.  Finally, you can count on your nemesis calling in all powerful and political allies to decimate you. Just remember if you do nothing, this is going to continue and escalate anyway.  However, if do something, there will most definitely be a change.  The goal is to have the change be in your benefit.

This book is written as a teaching tool for Human Resource Managers and executive staff, for Labor Representatives, for Educators, for ordinary people, and for you to start teaching your kids and grandkids so as they grow, they will get to practice these skills to be better prepared to handle these situations that most of us were.

Times change, but human nature - if it changes typically gets worse.  So, there are several options presented for you to consider.  There are detailed basic actions one should meticulously attend.  And there are some historical and social backstories that often influence the twists and turns of our life.  This book should be quite helpful, it is most definitely "real," and

The last bit of advice I can give you is for you to decide: "what will you determine that you have won?"  Are you flexible enough to win without topping off your win with vengeance? (You already started out with an enemy; they will get worse as you stand up for yourself.  This is the real world and not everyone is mentally stable or knows how to control their anger - some reactions can be scathing or deadly.  You need to determine as you start devising your strategy, how will you determine whether or not you think you've won or lost? Dealing with difficult people can be emotionally draining, demoralizing, and sometimes frightening/fearful.  On the other hand, most difficult people most get really "twisted" because you dared to stand up for yourself.  So just remember, they aren't sleeping well either.
