DESIGN FOR SUGAR-TONGS.

To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ROBERT WALLACE, of Wal- Iingl'ord, iu the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Sugar- Tongs; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters ol' reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent in- Figure l, a side View, and iu Figure 2, the bow or spring extended.

This invention relates to a design for the spring portion of sugar-tongs and tongs for similar purposes, and consists in the peculiar form and eonlguratiou of the edge of the spring portion or connection between the two handles, as more fully hereafter described.

A is one part and B the other part of the handle, of any desirable style or shape, and C the spring portion.

Starting from each handle the edge is of ogee-form, running into a selnicircle, and the two semieireles connected by a segment or convex edge, as fully shown in the accompanying drawings.

The surface of the handle may he ornamented in any desirable style.

I claim as my invention- The design for the spring portion of sugar-tongs, as herein illustrated and described.
