DESIGN FOR A BUTTON.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,720, dated May 29, 1900.

Application filed May I, 1900. Serial No. 15,135. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, MADISON I). SHIPMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at De Kalb, in the county of De Kalb and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Buttons; and Ido declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

My present invention relates to new and original designs in buttons.

In the accompanyingdrawings, Figure I is a plan View of a button, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an edge view of the same.

Referring to the drawings, and more especially to Fig. 1, it will be seen that my design consists of a button having on iis outer surface a series of curved radial lines or ridges, which start from a common center and gradually diverge as they extend outward, tenninating at su bstantially-equal distances apart at or near the periphery or outer edge of the button.

The essential feature of my invention is a series of curved ridges alternating with a series of intermediate depressions upon the surface of the button.

Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim is- The design for a button, substantially as shown and described.
