DESIGN FOR A TEAPOT, 80C.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design N 0. 23,956, dated J anuary 22, 1895.
Application filed December 13,1894. Serial No. 581.733, Term of patent. 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
lie it known that I, CHARLES EDWARD HAVI- LAND, acitizen of the United States, residing at the city of Limoges, in the Republic of France, have invented and produced a new and original Design fora Teapot and Similar Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation of a tea-pot hear ing and incorporating my design, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section of same on the dotted line 2-2 of Fig. 1.
The leading feature of my design consists in the new and original shape and outline of the body of the tea-pot, as shown in the drawings forming a part of this application.
In the drawings A designates the body of the tea-pot, which body inclines from its upper edge downward and outward on ornate lines as shown, and is composed of the vertical scalloped sections B. The upper and lower edges of the body A have ornamental scrolls C, D.
E designates the handle for the tea-pot, and F the pouring spout for the same.
Upon the tea-pot is a coverI having, ahandle J.
What I claim is The design for a tea-pot or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
