Be it known that I, JAMES L. FoLsoM, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.

The accompanying photograph is a face view of a carpet showing my new design.

My design consists of rose-shaped flower forms and long arching leaf forms, with short portions of a thick stem-work appearing at in tervals, and with smaller stems and leaves p ro- Term of patent years.
