SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 17,681, dated September 6, 1887.

.To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, HENRY HUNT, ofGreeuville, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.

The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets 10 or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel Serial No. 244,939.

Term of patent 35 years.

main body of the figure. The figure A is a conventionalized leaf form with a deeply-indented edge. The slnulow-work is prominent and plainly distinguished from the central ligure it surrounds. Similar leaf figures with similar shadow-work complete the design.

l. The design for carpets, consisting of the arc-shaped figure A, substantially as shown.

2. The design for carpets, consisting of the figure A and the other figures, substantially as shown.
