DESIGN FOR AN EAR-RING PENDANT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,864, dated March 4, 1884,
Applicaii n filed November 30, 1583. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I. Jonx B. VAX HOUTEX, a citizen of the United States, residingat Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Ear-Ring Pendants; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to letters of reference marl-zed thereon, which form a part of this specification, in which- Fignre 1 is a front, and Fig. 2 an edge or a side view, of my newly-designed ear-ring. These two views fully illustrate my design.
The distinguishing feature of this design is in the peculiar form or configuration of the pendant, which is as follows: At thetop where it is connected to the car-wire are two scrolls, a a, reversed in relation to each other, beneath which the outline of the pendant is irregular in form, being composed at each side of a square, b, a bead, c, and finishing at the botl tom in the form ofa half-diamond, d. Across the face of the pendant, in relief, near the ceni ter, is a square bar, e, encircled in the middle by a band,f, and at each end of the bar is a spherical projection, 9, all as shown in the drawings.
The engraving or other ornamentation may be varied to suit the taste.
I claim- The design for an ear-ring pendant herein shown and described.
