It consists in the new arrangement and 1c grouping of tigures hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face \lCW ot' wallpaper having my new design.
The letter A represents the body of" my newlvalesigned wall-paper. L is the border of the same. The body A is formed of two groups, U and l). (lroup 0 consists of the scroll it a u, curring spirally inward upon It :70 sell, ornamented with the leaf (1 and projection 0, and terminating in the ball-shaped ornaments (I. From apoint on theinteriorcurve ot'the spiral (L appears to grow the conventional flower c, which tills nearly the wholeinterior of the curve formed by the stripe a.
The group Dis formed as follows: From the outside of the curving stripe u, at a point near the stem of the flower (2, runs a curving stripe, fff, from which branches oti' on the 0 outside the leaf-shaped ornament y, and from the interior ot'this stripe fff runs the branch h, with its leaves and berries, and also the large com-'entional flower j, the branch h and flower j nearly tilling the interior of the curve 5 formed bythe stripes ffj'.
Two parallel stripes, E and E, inclose the groups 0 and D in the photograph. These stripes are composed of a series of parallel bands, q q, one oi which is dotted or beaded 40 with dots or beads 1 r1", as shown.
The border B consists of avine, in m at, running in S-shaped connected curves. Upon this vine m in in are leaf-like projections 19 pp, and from it branch off alternately a leaf, a,

I claim- 1. The design for wall'paper consisting of the vine m m M, with its projections pp p and alternate leal" n and bud 0, substantiallt as shown.
