UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY F. (l. FUCHS, OF JERSEY CITY, NEW JERSEY.
DESlGN FOR A BADGE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,226, dated February 21, 1893.
Application filed December 17. 1892. Serial No. 455.537. Term of patent 7 years.
To @613 whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY L G. Focus, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersoy City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Badge, to be used as a lapel ornament or for other suitable form of decoration, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, in which- Figure 1 represents a perspective and Fig. 2 a detail of one of the leaves.
The leading feature of my design consists of a spray of three leaves connected with a stem, in form of a shamrock, and each leaf having an outline of scallops uniform in dimensions and an interior composed of radial lines extending from the center of the leaf to points between said scallops. The outline formed by the outer ends of the lines forming the interior of the leaf is wholly within the outline formed by the exterior edges of the scallops.
The drawings present a perspective view of a badge embodying my design.
In the drawings A is the leaves and l the stem therefor. Each leaf A has a scalloped exterior inclosing edge C and an interior D, the latter being composed of closely arranged radial lines extending from the center of the leaf to points between the said scallops. The scallops composing the edge C are uniform in size and in their relation to each other and their outer tips constitute an outline lying beyond the outline formed by the outer ends of the aforesaid radial lines D.
What I claim islhe design for a badge substantially as shown and described.
HENRY F. G. FUCHS.
