EDUARD LEISSNER, OF NEW YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO LEISSNER 8t LOUIS, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR WALL-PAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,542, dated October 25, 1881. Application filed August 25, 1881. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EDUARD LEIssNER, of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original De- 5 sign for Wall-Paper, of which the followingis a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for wall-paper and similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel grouping and configuration of parts, hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face View of a wall-paper having my new de sign.
F is the upper border, and G the lower border, of the Wall-paper. Between these two borders is the principal portion H. The border F is made of two interlocking bars or lines bent alternately up and down, leaving spaces for a row of beads,j. The border G is composed of series of interlocking bars k and h, of which some enter into the ornamentation of the main body H of the Wall-paper, forming an upright post, 9, and branching to the right and left at the bottom of the border F. To this post 9 isjoined the ornamental outline for the figures D D. Each of these figures D D contains an inner floral group, d, and conventional leaves 6 on top and lower scroll, 2 as shown. The post g is ornamented by a. pineappleshaped figure near itscenter, and has branches 0 f with conventional leaves at its sides.
I claim- 1. The design for wall-paper, consisting of the border F, having beads substantially as shown. 5
2. The design for wall-paper, consisting of the border G, having bars k and bars h, said bars forming also the postg, and branching to the right and left at the bottom of the border F, and of the ornamental outline of the fig- 4o ares D, and of said figures D, having ornaments d e i, and of the ornamentsf, substantially as shown.
3. The design for wall-paper, consisting of the border F, having beadsj, border G, having bars k and h, figures D D, having ornaments d e i, post g, and ornamentsf, substantially as shown.
