To all whom it may concern: I
Be it known that .1, JOHN A. Honzarrnn, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city and county of. Jackson, State of Michigan, have invented certain new and useful Improvements" in Arichor-Rope VVringers and Pulleys, of which the follow-- ing is a specification.
This invention relates to improvements in anchor rope wringers and pulleys.
The main objects of this invention are: First, to provide an improved anchor rope pulleywhich may be quickly and easily attached to orremoved from a boat.
Second, to provide an improved anchor rope wringer'. f j
Further objects, and objects pertaining to details and economies of construction and operation will definitely appear from the detailed description to follow. 4 I accomplish the objects of my invention by the devices and means described in the following specification. The invention is clearly defined and pointed out in the claims.
A structure which is a preferred embodiment of my invention is clearly illustratedin the accompanying drawing forming a part of this application, in which:

Fig. II is a side elevation, partially in longitudinal section, on a line corresponding to line 22 of Fig. I.
Fig. III is a detail section on a line corresponding to line 3-3 of Fig. II.
In the drawing the sectional views are taken looking in the direction of the arrows at the ends of the section lines and similar numerals of reference refer to similar parts throughout the several views.
Referring to the drawing, 1 represents a base member adapted for attachment to the prow of a boat, preferably by means of screws, there being screw-holes 2' and 3 in the structure illustrated, although other holes may be provided.
This base member has a forwardly projecting eye 4 and key-hole sockets 5. The pulley block designated generally by the numeral 6 is provided with headed lugs 7 adapted to be engaged withthese sockets by a longitudinal movement of the pulley block on the base member. The pulley block is also provided with a forwardly projecting eye 8 which, when the lugs? are in engaging position, registers with the eye 4 of thebase member sothat a padlock 9 as indicated by dotted lines in Fig. Imay be engaged therewith, thereby locking the pulley block in positio i j p g A latch 10 pivoted at11 within the pulley block is adapted to coact' with the keeper 12 of the base plate, thereby holding the 1u-gs'7. in engaging position, the spring 13 being-artisan ranged to urge the latch into engagement with the keeper. The latch is provided with a finger'piece 14 which projects througha pulley block for hole 15 in the"'side'ofthe convenience in manipulation.

I have illustrated my improvements in an embodiment or adaptation which I have found very satisfactory. I have not attempted to illustrate or describe certain modifications or adaptations which I contemplate as it is believed the disclosure made will enable those skilled in the art to which 1 same as may be desired.
Having thus described my invention what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

the combination of a base member adapted for attachment to a boat and having spaced sockets therein and a forwardly projecting eye, a pulley block having headed lugs enj gageable with said socketsby a longitudinal movement of the pulley block and having a" forwardly projecting eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member, and a spring actuated latch disposed within said pulley block, said base member having a coacting keeper, the said pulley block being adapted to cover certain .of the attaching means for said base member, whereby when said pulley is secured upon said'base plate as by a lock passed thro'ughsaid eyes, the detaching of the-base member is prevented.
2. In a structure of the class described, the combination of a base member adapted for attachment to a boat and having spaced sockets therein and a forwardly projecting eye, a pulley block having headed lugs engageable with said sockets by a longitudinal movement of the pulley block and having a forwardly projecting eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member, and a spring actuated latch disposed within said pulley block, said base member having a coacting keeper.

In a structure of the class described, the combination of a base member adapted for attachment to a boat and having spaced sockets therein and a forwardly projecting eye, and a pulley block having headed lugs engageable with said sockets by a longitudinal movement of the pulley block and having a forwardly projecting eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member.

In a structure of the class described, the combination of a base member adapted for attachment to a boat and having a socket therein and an eye, a pulley block having a headed lug engageable with said socket and having an eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member-whensaid lug is engaged with said socket, and a latch on said pulley block, said base member having a coacting keeper, the said pulley block being adapted to cover certain of the attaching means for said base member whereby, when said pulley is secured upon said base plate as by a lock passed through said eyes, the detaching of the base member is prevented.
5. In a structure of the class described, the combination of a base member adapted for attachment to a boat and having a socket therein and an eye, a pulley block having a headed lug engageable With said socket and having an eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member when said lug is engaged with said socket, and a latch on said pulley block, said base member having a coacting keeper.
6. In a structure of the class described, the combination of a basemember adapted for attachment to a boat and having a socket therein and an eye, and a pulley blockhaving a headed lug engageable with said socket and having an eye adapted to register with the eye of said base member when said lug is engaged with said socket.
