IMPROVEMENT IN TOILET-STANDS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 138,538, datcd May 6, 1873 application filed J aunary 6, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, DANIEL SHEEwoon, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex and State of Massachusetts, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toilet-Stands, of which the following is a specification:
Nature and Objects of the Invention.
My invention relates to stands for toiletuses; and the invention consists in a novel construction and production of a stand as a new article of manufacture, which is cheaply made, highly ornamental, and useful as an article of furniture or ornament.
Description of the Drawing. The drawing represents a toilet-stand.
General Description.
support or hanger, composed of a piece of wire extending up from the hoop A, to which it is attached by both ends, bent into the proper shape, as shown in the drawing, and having a hook, D, formed over the center of the ring A to support a watch or other piece of jewelry.
The space inclosed by the hoop A may be provided with a glass receptacle of any desired color, or covered with leather or other fancy flexible material, which will furnish a receptacle for small articles, such as rings, eardrops, 850., and part of this surface may have a cushion for pins, &c., if desired.
The stand may be made with or without the suspending hook, as desired.
Claim.
As a new and improved article of manufacture, a stand or holder made of wound wire. constructed substantially in the manner and for the purposes described and specified.
