said hanger is formed with an elongated inverted U-shaped hook 25, which may be engaged with a belt or pocket, and thereby carried by the user. It is obvious, however, that any other suitable and proper form of hanger or support 23 may be used for engaging the clothing of a Wearer and supporting the casing.
On the front of the door 7, We secure a pencil holder 8, of resilient material, and adapted to retain the pencil by its spring clamping action.
It will be seen that We have provided a device of this character Which is fully capable of attaining the foregoing objects, and in a thoroughly practical and eflicient manner.
We do not limit our invention to the exact details of construction, combination and arrangement of parts, as herewith illustrated and described, but our invention may only be limited by a reasonable interpretation of the claim.
We claim A dispensing cord holder consisting of a circular casing having a substantially flat side Wall, a shaft secured at one end to said side Wall and provided with a pointed bearing end, a reel mounted upon said shaft, a compound curved spring positioned on said shaft and bearing against said side Wall and said reel to retard the movement of said reel on said shaft, adoor hinged to said casing and providedwith a bearing adapted to engage the pointed end of the shaft, and a catch carried by the casing and provided with a thread cutter and adapted to hold the door closed.
