Abstract

Description
本發明係關於用於端對端接合管元件之機械連接器,且特定言之,本發明係關於用於將帶凸緣管元件接合至無凸緣管元件之機械連接器。
如先前技術中所教示,將一無凸緣聚合物管元件連接至一帶凸緣聚合物或金屬管元件需要使用一墊環(通常由金屬製成)及一聚合物對接凸緣轉接頭。為實現連接,墊環在無凸緣聚合物管元件之自由端上滑動且接著對接凸緣轉接頭依一對接方式與無凸緣管元件之自由端同軸對準且熔合至無凸緣管元件之自由端。此在先前無凸緣聚合物管元件上產生一帶凸緣飾面,無凸緣聚合物管元件接著與帶凸緣管元件凸緣對凸緣嚙合。接著,使墊環承載於對接凸緣轉接頭之凸緣上且使用螺栓來將墊環附接至帶凸緣管元件之凸緣以將對接凸緣轉接頭之凸緣捕獲及保留至帶凸緣管元件。對於低壓應用下之聚合物與金屬凸緣嚙合,對接凸緣轉接頭之軟聚合物凸緣在與帶凸緣管元件之金屬凸緣接觸之後變形以形成一液密密封。對於較高壓應用,可在界面凸緣之間使用一表面密封以確保液密性。 此先前技術實踐雖然有效,但其存在各種缺點。必須供應多個部件(即,對接凸緣轉接頭及墊環)且將其等組裝至無凸緣聚合物管元件上。需要一熔合操作來將對接凸緣轉接頭接合至無凸緣聚合物管。此需要一熔合機,其需要電力或一熱源用於操作。熔合操作本身需要時間且在現場進行接合時受天氣影響。例如,寒冷天氣會使熔合程序變慢,且會在條件足夠惡劣時完全停止。顯而易見,需要改良組件及用於將無凸緣聚合物管元件接合至帶凸緣管元件之方法。

Claims (16)
- 一種用於將一帶凸緣管元件接合至一平端管元件之連接器,該連接器包括: 複數個弓形段,其等依隔開關係彼此端對端附接以包圍一中央空間,該等弓形段之各者包括: 第一側及第二側,其等經對置安置; 一第一通道,其定位於該第一側鄰近處且圍繞該中央空間周向延伸而面向該中央空間; 一第一凸緣,其定位於該第二側鄰近處且遠離該中央空間向外延伸,該第一凸緣具有穿過其之複數個孔; 一第二通道,其定位於該第一通道與該凸緣之間且圍繞該中央空間周向延伸而面向該中央空間;其中該連接器進一步包括: 一開口環,其定位於該第一通道中; 一密封件,其定位於該第二通道中; 一管件,其定位於該中央空間內且自該等弓形段之該等第二側向外延伸,該管件嚙合該密封件。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該第一通道包括: 兩個側表面,其等依隔開關係配置; 一底面,其延伸於該等側表面之間,該底面包括分別配置於該等弓形段之對置端處之第一表面部分及第二表面部分及定位於該第一表面部分與該第二表面部分之間之一第三表面部分,該第一表面部分及該第二表面部分各具有大於該第三表面部分之一曲率半徑的一曲率半徑。
- 如請求項2之連接器,其中該等弓形段之至少一者上之該第一表面部分及該第二表面部分之該曲率半徑等於該開口環之一外曲率半徑。
- 如請求項2之連接器,其中該第一表面部分及該第二表面部分之至少一者具有自該第一通道之整個圓周長度之5%延伸至45%之一長度。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該密封件包括一撓性、彈性密封環,該密封環具有經調適以分別嚙合該管件及該管元件之外表面的第一環形內表面及第二環形內表面,該等環形內表面之一者具有經定大小以在將該等管元件插入於該等弓形段之間之後接納該管元件之一直徑。
- 如請求項5之連接器,其中該密封件具有一外表面,該外表面在一預組裝狀態中依足以允許將該管元件插入至該中央空間中之隔開關係與該等弓形段嚙合且支撐該等弓形段。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該開口環具有一外曲率半徑及一內曲率半徑,該內曲率半徑等於或大於該管元件之一外半徑。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該開口環在一預組裝狀態中依足以允許將該等管元件插入至該中央空間中之隔開關係支撐該等弓形段。
- 如請求項8之連接器,其中該開口環具有足以透過在該管元件之插入期間處置該連接器而使該等弓形段維持於該預組裝狀態中之剛性。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該開口環包括彼此依隔開關係配置且圍繞該開口環周向延伸之複數個齒,該等齒朝向該中央空間突出。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其中該複數個弓形段包括至多兩個該等弓形段。
- 如請求項11之連接器,其中各該弓形段包括定位於其對置端處之可調整附接構件。
- 如請求項12之連接器,其中該等可調整附接構件包括自各該弓形段之對置端延伸之突出部,各該突出部界定用於接納一緊固件之一開口。
- 如請求項2之連接器,其中該等弓形段之至少一者在該至少一弓形段之一端鄰近處具有定位於該兩個側表面中之至少一凹口。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其進一步包括自該管件向外延伸且定位於該第一凸緣鄰近處之一第二凸緣。
- 如請求項1之連接器,其進一步包括自該管件之一端接近處向外延伸之一倒鉤。
