Abstract

The invention relates to a cesspool cleaner with a cylindrical sludge tank (2) which is connected to a vacuum pump and a take-in line (8, 10) and exhibits a discharge base (16) which can be opened for the discharge of sludge which has been taken in, the tank exhibiting a longitudinally adjustable intermediate wall which is configured as a pressure piston (18) which, in order to compress taken-in sludge between it and the discharge base, is connected to movement members (20). The piston and/or the discharge base is provided with a filter plate (e.g. 22a) which is directed towards the sludge chamber, as a result of which the water separated off during the compression of the sludge can run off. The remaining, pressed sludge cake can be pushed out through the opened discharge base by means of the pressure piston. <IMAGE>
