Abstract

1,191,300. Spray producers. PRECISION VALVE CORP. 28 Dec, 1967 [11 Jan., 1967]. No. 58762/67. Heading B2F. An aerosol dispenser comprising a propellant container 20 mounted with an interference fit in an outer container 10 for a product to be dispensed, is characterised in that at least one of the contacting surfaces forming the interference fit is provided with one or more air vent passages 12 which allow escape of air as the propellant container is inserted into the product container which passage or passages are sealed during or at the final part of the insertion movement by the engagement of cooperating parts of both containers. Sealing may be effected by a peripheral bead 21 on the propellant container. A shoulder 15 may be formed inside the mouth of the product container for sealing engagement with a rolled seam 24 on the upper edge of the propellant container.
