Abstract
La presente invencion se refiere a una proteina quimerica de SEC ID NO: 10 (TIC867), a un polinucleotido que la codifica, a una celula hospedadora y a una composicion. Dicha proteina quimerica posee el dominio 1 de Cry1Be2, el dominio 2 de Cry1Be2, el dominio 3 de Cry1Ka y la protoxina de Cry1Ab3, siendo miembro de la familia de proteinas cristalinas Cry1. La proteina quimerica de la invencion posee bioactividad contra un amplio espectro de plagas de lepidopteros, siendo efectiva en el control de dichas plagas en cultivos agricolas.
