Abstract

Det beskrives forbedrede belagte uorganiske pigmenter med et første belegg av A1203, Si02, eller eventuelt annet oksid slik som en kilde til P2O5, eller blandinger derav, et eventuelt belegg av Zr02, Sn02, Ti02, SiO2; CeO2 eller blandinger derav, og et sluttelig belegg av A12O3, hvorved pigmentet innehar god holdbarhet, dispergerbarhet og optiske egenskaper i plast- eller malingssammensetninger. Det beskrives også en fremgangsmåte hvorved en vandig oppslemming av et uorganisk pigment oppmales for å oppnå en bestemt partikkelstørrelses- fordeling, og et første belegg av A12O3, SiO2, TiO2 eller eventuelt annet oksid slik som en kilde til P205, eller blandinger derav, presipiteres på pigmentmaterialet i et første pH- område, en eventuell mengde av Zr02, Sn02, Si02, Ce02 eller blandinger derav tilføres til den vandige oppslemming innen et andre pH-område for å oppnå et eventuelt belegg over det første belegg, og et sluttelig belegg av A1203 påføres over de(t) forutgående belegg.
