Abstract

Un aparato y un método para producir ultrasonicamente un rociado de líquido. El aparato incluye una caja de matriz la cual define una cámara adaptada para recibir un líquido presurizado y unos medios para aplicar energía ultrasonica a una parte del líquido presurizado. La caja de matriz además incluye una entrada adaptada para suministrar a la cámara con el líquido presurizado y un orificio de salida definido por las paredes de la punta de matriz. El orificio de salida es adaptado para recibir el líquido presurizado desde la cámara y pasar el líquido a afuera de la caja de matriz para producir un rociado de líquido. Cuando los medios para aplicar energía ultrasonica son excitados, estos aplican energía ultrasonica al líquido presurizado sin aplicar energía ultrasonica a la punta de matriz. El método involucra el suministrar un líquido presurizado al aparato anterior, aplicar la energía ultrasonica al líquido presurizado pero no a la punta de matriz que el orificio de salida recibe el líquido presurizado desde la cámara, y pasar el líquido presurizado hacia afuera del orificio de salida en la punta de matriz para producir un rociado de líquido.
