Abstract

La invencion se refiere a un gen de adherencia AlpB del Helicobacter pylori y al polipéptido codificado a partir del mismo. Este gen fue logrado por la insercion (mutagénesis) del transposon TnMax9 desde el cromosoma del H-pylori y está caracterizado por la clonacion y secuenciamiento de la region flanqueada de AlpA corriente abajo. Estos dos genes de adherencia tienden a ser parte del mismo operon y van a ser transcritos solamente por un promotor.
