Abstract

En la presente, se describe un método para modificar las características de la superficie de alúmina, dicho método que comprende los pasos de: (i) formar una mezcla acuosa que comprende una parte en peso de alúmina y un compuesto monomérico o polimérico de Aluminio equivalente de 0.001 a 0.1 partes en peso de contenido de Aluminio; (ii) equilibrar la mezcla por al menos cinco minutos; (iii) aumentar el pH de la mezcla de 6 a 8; y, (iv) secar dicha mezcla, en donde dicho método comprende un paso adicional para incrementar el pH de la mezcla de 3.0 a 5.0 entre los pasos (i) y (ii) en donde dicho compuesto de Aluminio es monomérico.
