Abstract
Se divulga un método para modificar las características de superficie de la alúmina, método que comprende los siguientes pasos: (i) formar una mezcla acuosa que comprende una parte en peso de alúmina y un compuesto monomérico o polimérico de un equivalente de aluminio de entre 0,001 y 0,1 partes en peso de contenido de aluminio; (ii) equilibrar la mezcla durante al menos cinco minutos; (iii) aumentar el pH de la mezcla de 6 a 8; y (iv) secar dicha mezcla, donde dicho método comprende un paso adicional para aumentar el pH de la mezcla de 3,0 a 5,0 entre los pasos (i) y (ii) cuando dicho compuesto de aluminio es monomérico.
