Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para la preparación de cenizas volantes blanqueadas, en donde el proceso comprende las etapas de: (a) someter las cenizas volantes a una etapa de clasificación por tamaño para obtener cenizas volantes clasificadas por tamaño que tengan tal tamaño de partícula que al menos el 90 % en peso tenga un tamaño de partícula de 44 µm a 250 µm; (b) opcionalmente, poner en contacto las cenizas volantes clasificadas por tamaño de la etapa (a) con agua para formar una suspensión, en donde la suspensión tiene un contenido de sólidos de menos del 40 % en peso; (c) someter la suspensión obtenida en la etapa (b) a una etapa de separación magnética exhaustiva para formar cenizas volantes tratadas magnéticamente, en donde la etapa de separación magnética exhaustiva comprende una primera etapa de extracción magnética y una segunda etapa de extracción magnética, en donde la segunda etapa de extracción magnética se lleva a cabo con una intensidad de campo magnético mayor que la primera etapa de extracción magnética; y (d) someter las cenizas volantes tratadas magnéticamente obtenidas en la etapa (c) a una etapa de molienda para formar cenizas volantes blanqueadas.
