Claims (10)
- (a) 점화된 수평 용재화 반응기 내에서 미립화 탄소질 물질의 액체 담체중 슬러리의 제1증분과 산소 함유 개스로 이루어진 스트림을 대향수평 버너 노즐에 의하여 1316℃(2400°F) 내지 1649℃(3000°F)의 온도 및 50psig(345kpa) 내지 450psig(3100kpa)의 압력에서 연소시켜, 열을 발생시키고, 산소, 탄소질 물질 및 담체 액체를 스팀, 담체 액체의 증기, 용재, 골탄 및 개스상 연소 생성물로 전환시키고 ; (b) 비점화 수직 열회수유티트 내에서, 상기 점화 수평 반응기로부터의 스팀, 담체 액체의 증기, 골탄 및 개스상 연소 생성물을 871℃(1600°F) 내지 1093℃(2000°F)의 온도에서 미립화 탄소질 물질의 액체 담체중 슬러리의 제2증분과 접촉시켜, 반응기내에서 발생된 열을 회수하고 탄소질 물질과 담체 액체를 스팀, 담체 액체의 증기, 합성개스 및 골탄으로 전환시킴을 특징으로 하는, 탄소질 물질의 비-촉매적 2-단계 상향유동식 개스화 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, (c) 점화된 수평 용재화 반응기내에서 생성된 용재를 반응기 저부로부터 배출시키는 단계를 더 포함한는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, (d) 단계 (b)에서 생성된 골탄올, 20내지 40중량%의 고체농도를 갖는 액체중 현탁액으로서 단계(a)로 재순환시키는 단계를 더 포함한는 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 단계(d)가 (d1) 골탄을 합성개스로부터 분리시키고 ; (d2)골탄을 액체화 접촉시켜 골탄의 액체 중 현탁액으로 생성시키고 ; (d3) 골탄 현탁액을 점화된 반응기로 재순환시키는 단계를 더 포함하는 방법.
- 제1 내지 4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 언급된 담체 액체가 물인 방법.
- 제1 내지 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 언급된 고체 농도가 단계(a) 및 단계(b) 모두에서 30 내지 70중량% 또는 45 내지 55중량%인 방법.
- 제1내지 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 언급된 산소-함유 개스가 공기, 산소-농후 공기 또는 산소인 방법.
- 제1 내지 4항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 언급된 산소-함유 개스가 공기이고, 반응기 내에서의 탄소에 대한 유리원소 산소의 초기 원자비율이 1.5:1 내지 2.5:1인 방법.
- 제1 내지 4항중 어는 한 항에 있어서, 언급된 탄소질 물질이 석탄 또는 갈탄인 방법.
