Description
Claims (12)
- 투사형 표시 장치의 광변조 수단을 조명하기 위해 사용되는 조명 장치로서,광원과, 상기 광원으로부터 입사되는 광의 조도(照度) 분포를 균일화하는 균일 조명 수단과, 상기 광원으로부터 사출되는 광의 광축 위에 설치되어, 상기 광원으로부터의 사출광(射出光)의 광량을 조절하는 조광(調光) 수단을 구비하고, 외부로부터의 정보에 의거하여 상기 조광 수단을 제어함으로써 상기 균일 조명 수단으로부터 사출되는 광의 광량을 조절할 수 있도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 균일 조명 수단이 상기 광축을 따라 상기 광원에 가까운 측으로부터 차례로 배치된 플라이 아이 렌즈와, 상기 플라이 아이 렌즈에 의해 형성된 복수의 2차 광원상(光源像)을 조명 면에서 중첩시키기 위한 중첩 렌즈로 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 조광 수단이 상기 광원으로부터의 사출광 중 적어도 일부를 차단할 수 있게 구성된 차광 부재로 이루어지고, 상기 차광 부재에 의한 상기 사출광의 차광 면적을 조절할 수 있게 된 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 차광 부재가 그 주면(主面)과 평행한 방향으로 이동할 수 있게 구성된 차광판으로 이루어지고, 상기 차광판의 이동량에 따라 상기 광량을 조절할 수 있게 된 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 차광 부재가 그 주면과 평행한 방향으로 연장되는 회동축을 중심으로 하여 회동 가능하게 구성된 차광판으로 이루어지고, 상기 차광판의 회동 각도에 따라 상기 광량을 조절할 수 있게 된 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 차광 부재가 상기 플라이 아이 렌즈로부터 사출되는 광속(光束) 각각에 대하여 선대칭으로 차광을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,상기 차광 부재가 상기 플라이 아이 렌즈로부터 사출되는 광속 각각에 대하여 중심 대칭으로 차광을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 차광판의 회동축이 상기 플라이 아이 렌즈로부터 사출되는 광속의 사이로 되는 장소에 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 차광판이 부분적으로 광의 투과율이 상이한 영역을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 차광판의 에지부가 요철(凹凸) 형상을 이루고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 제 5 항에 있어서,상기 차광판이 상기 광축과 수직인 면을 따라 복수 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 조명 장치.
- 조명 수단과, 상기 조명 수단으로부터 사출되는 광을 변조하는 광변조 수단과, 상기 광변조 수단에 의해 변조된 광을 투사하는 투사 수단을 갖는 투사형 표시 장치로서,상기 조명 수단으로서, 제 1 항, 제 3 항, 제 4 항, 제 5 항, 제 8 항 및 제 11 항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 조명 장치를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 투사형 표시 장치.
