Abstract

본 발명에는 양방항 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기가 개시된다. 개시된 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기는 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기에 있어서, 그의 일단쪽 상면에 위치한 다수 개의 키들이 배치된 제1영역과, 그의 타단쪽 상면에 위치하여 상기 제1영역과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징이 배치된 제2영역으로 구성된 본체 하우징; 및 그의 하면이 상기 본체 하우징의 길이 방향을 따라서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 채로 상기 길이 방향을 따라서 선형적으로 이동하며, 상기 제2영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제1영역을 개방시켜서 상기 키들이 노출되고, 상기 제1영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제2영역을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈를 노출시키는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징으로 구성된다.

Description

양 방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기{BI-DIRECTIONAL SLIDING-TYPE PORTABLE PHONE}
본 발명은 셀룰러 폰(cellular phone), PDA(Personal Digital Assistants), HHP(Hand Held Phone) 등을 포함하는 휴대용 단말기에 관한 것으로서, 특히, 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기에 관한 것이다.
통상적인 개념의 "휴대용 통신 장치"라 함은 사용자가 휴대하면서 상대방과 무선 통신을 수행할 수 있는 전자 장치를 의미한다. 이러한 휴대용 통신 장치는 휴대성을 고려하여 소형화, 슬림화, 그립화 및 경량화되어가는 추세에 있으며, 보다 다양한 기능을 추구할 수 있는 멀티 미디어화 방향으로 나아가고 있는 추세에 있다. 특히, 점점 추후의 휴대용 단말기는 소형화, 경량화, 다기능, 다목적으로 사용될 것이며, 다양한 멀티 미디어 환경이나 인터넷 환경에 적응되도록 변형될 것이다. 아울러, 휴대용 단말기는 남녀 노소, 전 세계 어디에서도 통용되는 전자 장치로서, 항시 휴대하고 다녀야 할 필수품으로 인식되어 가고 있는 추세에 있다.
보편화된 종래의 휴대용 통신 장치는 외관상으로 여러 타입으로 분류된다. 예를 들어, 휴대용 통신 장치는 외형에 따라서 바-형(bar-type), 플립-형(flip-type) 또는 폴더-형(folder-type) 통신 장치로 분류된다. 바-형 통신 장치는 단일 하우징이 바-형으로 구성된 것을 의미하고, 플립-형 통신 장치는 바-형의 하우징에 힌지장치에 의해 플립이 회전가능하게 구성된 것을 의미하며, 폴더-형 통신 장치는 단일의 바-형 하우징에 폴더가 힌지 장치에 의해 회전가능하게 연결되어 접는 방식으로 구성된 것을 의미한다.
또한, 휴대용 통신 장치는 신체 착용 위치 또는 착용 방식에 따라서 목걸이-형(neck wearable-type) 또는 손목착용-형(wrist-type)으로 분류되기도 한다. 목걸이-형 통신 장치는 끈을 이용하여 단말기를 목에 착용하는 휴대 방식을 의미하고, 손목착용-형 통신 장치는 손목에 단말기를 착용하는 휴대 방식을 의미한다.
또한, 휴대용 통신 장치는 개폐 방식에 따라서 회전-형(rotation-type) 또는 슬라이딩-형(sliding-type) 통신 장치로 분류되기도 한다. 회전-형 통신 장치는 두 개의 하우징이 마주보면서 대면한 상태를 계속 유지한 채 회전가능하게 연결되어 개폐되는 것을 의미하고, 슬라이딩-형 통신 장치는 두 개의 하우징이 길이방향으로 슬라이딩이동으로 개폐되는 것을 의미한다. 상기 열거된 다양하게 분류된 통신 장치는 당해 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진자라면 용이하게 이해할 수 있을 것이다.
아울러, 종래의 휴대용 통신 장치는 음성 통신 기능 이외에 고속의 데이터를 통신할 수 있는 구조로 변환되고 가고 있다. 즉, 소비자의 욕구가 증대됨에 따라서 고속의 데이터를 전송하는 무선 통신 기술을 이용하여 서비스를 제공할 것이다.
현재에는 종래의 휴대용 통신 장치에 카메라 렌즈가 채용되어져서 영상 신호 등의 전송이 이루어져 가고 있는 추세에 있다. 한편, 현재 휴대용 통신 장치는 카메라 렌즈 모듈을 외장형이나 내장형으로 구비하여 상대방과의 영상 통화나 원하는 피사체 촬영 기능을 수행할 수 있게 되었다.
그러나, 종래의 휴대용 단말기가 카메라 렌즈 모듈을 구비하게 될 시, 외장형으로 본체에 제공되어지는 경우에는 항시 분실의 위험이 발생한다. 그리고, 카메라 렌즈 모듈이 본체에 내장형으로 제공되어지는 경우, 카메라 렌즈가 외부 환경에 항시 노출되어 이물질 침입이 용이하여 촬영의 질이 저하되는 문제점이 발생하였다.
따라서, 본 발명의 목적은 본체 하우징에 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징을 장착하여 보다 효율적으로 카메라 렌즈를 사용하기 위한 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기를 을 제공함에 있다.
본 발명의 다른 목적은 소형화에 유리한 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기를 제공함에 있다.
상기한 목적들을 달성하기 위하여 본 발명은 휴대용 단말기에 있어서,
그의 일단쪽 상면에 위치한 다수 개의 키들이 배치된 제1영역과, 그의 타단쪽 상면에 위치하여 상기 제1영역과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징이 배치된 제2영역으로 구성된 본체 하우징; 및
그의 하면이 상기 본체 하우징의 길이 방향을 따라서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 채로 상기 길이 방향을 따라서 선형적으로 이동하며, 상기 제2영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제1영역을 개방시켜서 상기 키들이 노출되고, 상기 제1영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제2영역을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈를 노출시키는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징으로 구성된다.
또한, 본 발명은 휴대용 단말기에 있어서,
그의 일단쪽 상면에 위치한 다수 개의 제1키들이 배치된 제1영역과, 그의 타단쪽 상면에 위치하여 상기 제1영역과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징이 힌지축을 중심으로 회전가능하게 배치된 제2영역으로 구성된 본체 하우징;
그의 하면이 상기 본체 하우징의 길이 방향을 따라서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 채로 상기 길이 방향을 따라서 선형적으로 이동하며, 상기 제2영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제1영역을 개방시켜서 상기 제1키들이 가시적으로 노출되고, 상기 제1영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제2영역을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 가시적으로 노출시키며, 상기 제1키들이나 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 대면한 상태로 외부환경으로부터 보호하는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징; 및
상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 회전가능하게 수용하기 위하여 상기 제2영역에 형성된 개방 수단으로 구성된다.

이하에서는 첨부도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 바람직한 일 실시 예를 상세히 설명하기로 한다. 본 발명을 설명함에 있어, 관련된 공지기능 혹은 구성에 대한 구체적인 설명은 본 발명의 요지를 모호하지 않게 하기 위하여 생략한다.
도 1 내지 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 바람직한 제1실시 예에 따른 휴대용 단말기는 본체 하우징(10)(body housing)과, 상기 본체 하우징(10)에서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 상태로 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 길이 방향으로 선형적으로 이동하는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)(bi-directional sliding housing)으로 구성된다.
구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 휴대용 단말기는 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 상면(10a)(top surface)과 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)의 하면(20b)(bottom surface)이 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 상태로 선형으로(linear) 이동하며, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)의 이동 방향에 따라서 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 일단쪽 소정 영역이나 타단쪽 소정 영역이 선택적으로 가시적으로 개방된다. 즉, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)은 이동 거리는 미 도시된 스토퍼에 의해 제한되며, 특히, 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 양단쪽의 소정 영역을 개방시킬 정도의 거리로 제한된다.
상기 본체 하우징(10)은 그의 일단쪽 상면(10a)에 위치한 다수 개의 제1키들(102)이 배치된 제1영역(110)과, 그의 타단쪽 상면(10a)에 위치하여 상기 제1영역(110)과 이격된 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)이 배치된 제2영역(112)으로 구성된다. 상기 제1영역(110)이 개방된 상태가 도 3에 도시되었고, 상기 제2영역(112)이 개방된 상태가 도 5에 도시되었다.
그리고, 상기 본체 하우징의 측면(10b)에는 다수 개의 키들로 구성된 제2키들(120)이 배치되고, 그의 하면(10c)에 배터리 팩이 장착된 것이 도 2에 보여진다.
상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)은 그의 상면(20a)에 스피커 장치(210), 표시 장치(212), 다수개의 키들로 구성된 제3키들(214)을 포함한다.
상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)은 상기 제2영역(112)쪽으로 이동하면, 상기 제1영역(110)을 개방시켜서 상기 제1키들(102)이 가시적으로 노출되고, 상기 제1영역(112)쪽으로 이동하면, 상기 제2영역(112)을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(300을 가시적으로 노출시킨다. 또한, 통화 대기 중에는 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 제1영역(110)과 제2영역(112) 모두 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)에 의해 가려져 있다.
도 5, 도 6에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)은 그의 외주면(30a)에 카메라 렌즈(310)와, 상기 카메라 렌즈(310)와 이웃하는 조명 장치(312)를 노출되게 포함한다. 이 때, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)은 회전가능하게 구성되며, 그의 회전축은 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)의 슬라이딩 방향과 수직 방향으로 향한다.
도 5, 도 7에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 제2영역(112)에는 개방 수단(32)(opening means)이 형성되고, 상기 개방 수단(32)에 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)이 회전가능하게 수용된다. 이 때, 상기 개방 수단(32)은 슬롯(S)(slot)형상의 개구로 구성된다. 따라서, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)은 슬롯(S)에서 힌지축을 중심으로 회전가능하게 구성되며, 상기 카메라 렌즈(310)는 상기 본체 하우징(10)의 상면(10a)(top surface)을 향하는 방향, 선면(10d)(front surface)을 향하는 방향, 하면(10c)(bottom surface)을 향하는 방향으로 향하여 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다.
부가적으로 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)이 상기 제1영역(110)쪽으로 이동하면, 자동적으로 카메라 촬영 모드로 전환이 된다. 이는 미도시된 별도의 근접 센서를 이용하여 구현할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(20)이 본체 하우징(10)에 닫힌 상태를 유지한 상태에서도 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(30)을 회전시켜서 원하는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다.
도 8 내지 도 11에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 제2실시 예에 따른 휴대용 단말기는 본체 하우징(40)과, 상기 본체 하우징(40)에서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 상태로 상기 본체 하우징(40)의 길이 방향으로 선형적으로 이동하는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)으로 구성된다. 구체적으로, 본 발명에 따른 휴대용 단말기는 상기 본체 하우징의 상면(40a)과 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징의 하면(50b)이 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 상태로 선형으로 이동하며, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)의 이동 방향에 따라서 상기 본체 하우징의 일단쪽 소정 영역이나 타단쪽 소정 영역이 선택적으로 가시적으로 개방된다.
상기 본체 하우징(40)은 그의 일단쪽 상면(40a)에 위치한 다수 개의 제1키들(401)이 배치된 제1영역(410)과, 그의 타단쪽 상면(40a)에 위치하여 상기제1영역(410)과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)이 배치된 제2영역(412)으로 구성된다. 그리고, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징의 측면(50c)에는 다수개의 키들로 구성된 제2키들(504)이 배치되고, 상기 본체 하우징의 하면(40b)에 배터리 팩(B)이 장착된 것이 도 12에 보여진다.
상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)은 그의 상면(50a)에 스피커 장치(501), 표시 장치(502), 다수개의 키들로 이루어진 제2키들(503)을 포함한다.
상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)은 상기 제2영역(412)쪽으로 이동하면, 상기 제1영역(410)을 개방시켜서 상기 제1키들(401)이 가시적으로 노출되고, 상기 제1영역(410)쪽으로 이동하면, 상기 제2영역(412)을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)을 가시적으로 노출시킨다. 이러한 상태가 도 9와 도 10에 도시되었다.
상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)은 그의 외주면에 카메라 렌즈(601)와, 상기 카메라 렌즈(601)와 이웃하는 조명 장치(602)를 노출되게 포함한다. 이 때, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)은 회전가능하게 구성되며, 그의 회전축은 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)의 슬라이딩 방향과 수직 방향으로 향한다.
도 11은 상기 본체 하우징에 장착된 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 제거한 상태를 나타내는 도면이다. 도 11에 도시된 바와 같이, 상기 제2영역(412)에는 개방 수단(62)이 형성되고, 상기 개방 수단(62)에 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)이 회전가능하게 수용된다. 이 때, 상기 개방 수단(62)은 수용 구멍(receiving hole)으로 구성된다. 따라서, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징(60)은 상기 수용 구멍에서 힌지축을 중심으로 회전가능하게 구성되며, 상기 카메라 렌즈(601)는 상기 본체 하우징(40)의 상면(40a)(top surface)을 향하는 방향, 하면(40b)(bottom surface)을 향하는 방향으로 위치하여 원하는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다.
부가적으로 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)이 상기 제1영역(412)쪽으로 이동하면, 자동적으로 카메라 촬영 모드로 전환이 된다. 이는 미도시된 별도의 근접 센터를 이용하여 구현할 수 있다. 아울러, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징(50)이 닫힌 상태를 유지하여도 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 회전시켜서 원하는 피사체를 촬영할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징은 상기 본체 하우징의 제1영역에 배치된 키들이나, 상기 제2영역에 배치된 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 외부환경으로부터 보호하는 부가적인 기능을 담당한다.
이상으로 살펴본 바와 같이, 본 발명은 본체 하우징에 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징을 채용함으로써, 카메라 렌즈를 효율적으로 사용할 수 있게 되었고, 외부 환경으로부터 보호할 수 있게 되었다. 아울러, 본 발명은 양방향으로 슬라이딩 하우징이 선택적으로 이동할 수 있게 구성함으로써, 키들이나 카메라 렌즈 하우징으 단순한 손가락의 미는 동작으로 선택할 수 있게 되어서 편리한 이점을 달성하였다. 한편, 본 발명의 상세한 설명에서는 구체적인 실시 예에 관해서 설명하였으나, 본 발명의 범위에서 벗어나지 않는 한도내에서 여러 가지 변형이 가능함을 당해 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 있어서 자명하다 할 것이다.

Claims (9)

  1. 휴대용 단말기에 있어서,
    그의 일단쪽 상면에 위치한 다수 개의 키들이 배치된 제1영역과, 그의 타단쪽 상면에 위치하여 상기 제1영역과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징이 배치된 제2영역으로 구성된 본체 하우징; 및
    그의 하면이 상기 본체 하우징의 길이 방향을 따라서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 채로 상기 길이 방향을 따라서 선형적으로 이동하며, 상기 제2영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제1영역을 개방시켜서 상기 키들이 노출되고, 상기 제1영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제2영역을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈를 노출시키는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징으로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징은 회전가능하게 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.

  4. 휴대용 단말기에 있어서,
    그의 일단쪽 상면에 위치한 다수 개의 제1키들이 배치된 제1영역과, 그의 타단쪽 상면에 위치하여 상기 제1영역과 이격된 상태에서 마주보는 카메라 렌즈 하우징이 힌지축을 중심으로 회전가능하게 배치된 제2영역으로 구성된 본체 하우징;
    그의 하면이 상기 본체 하우징의 길이 방향을 따라서 대면한 상태를 계속적으로 유지한 채로 상기 길이 방향을 따라서 선형적으로 이동하며, 상기 제2영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제1영역을 개방시켜서 상기 제1키들이 가시적으로 노출되고, 상기 제1영역쪽으로 이동하면 상기 제2영역을 개방시켜서 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 가시적으로 노출시키며, 상기 제1키들이나 상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 대면한 상태로 외부환경으로부터 보호하는 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징; 및
    상기 카메라 렌즈 하우징을 회전가능하게 수용하기 위하여 상기 제2영역에 형성된 개방 수단으로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징의 슬라이딩 방향과 힌지축은 서로 수직으로 향함을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 개방 수단은 슬롯으로 구성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  7. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 개방 수단은 구멍으로 형성되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  8. 제4항에 있어서, 상가 카메라 렌즈 하우징은 카메라 렌즈와, 상기 카메라 렌즈와 이웃하는 조명 장치를 구비함을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
  9. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 양방향 슬라이딩 하우징은 그의 상면에 스피커 장치와, 상기 스피커 장치와 이웃하는 표시 장치와, 상기 표시 장치와 이웃하는 다수 개의 제2키들이 장착되어짐을 특징으로 하는 양방향 슬라이딩 타입 휴대용 단말기.
