Description
Claims (35)
- 연마재로서 사용될 다이아몬드 입자를 지지하도록 구성된 매트릭스 지지재,상기 매트릭스 지지재에 배치된 복수의 다이아몬드 입자, 및상기 매트릭스 지지재 및 상기 다이아몬드 입자 사이에 용침된 합금―여기서 합금은 상기 다이아몬드 입자 및 상기 매트릭스 지지재에 결합되고, 합금은 크롬, 망간, 규소 및 알루미늄으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 성분을 2 내지 50% 함유하는 금속 합금을 포함하며 대체로 아연은 함유하지 않음―을 포함하는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트리스 지지재가 코발트, 니켈, 철, 동 및 청동 및 혼합물 및 그 합금으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 재료를 50 중량% 이상 함유하는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스 지지재가 상기 다이아몬드 입자보다 더 많은 체적을 점유하는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 입자가, 결합된 상기 매트릭스 지지재와 다이아몬드 입자 체적의 40% 이하인 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스 지지재가 400 U.S. 메시보다 큰 굵은-크기의 분말로 형성되는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 입자가 상기 매트릭스 지지재 내에 소정의 패턴으로 배치되는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스 지지재가 복수의 다이아몬드 용침 시트로 형성되는 연마공구.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 용침 시트가 금속 분말과 다이아몬드 그릿의 혼합물을 압연, 압출, 또는 테이프 주조하여 제조되는 연마공구.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 용침 시트가 다이아몬드 그릿을 상기 금속시트 내에 기계적으로 평삭가공(planing)하여 제조되는 연마공구.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 금속시트가 압연으로 이루어지는 군에 의하여 주괴로부터 형성되며, 금속 분말로부터 제조되는 연마공구.
- 제7항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 용침 시트 중 적어도 하나에 상기 합금이 용침되는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금이 아연, 납 및 주석으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 간섭금속이 실질적으로 없는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금이 필수적으로 크롬, 망간, 규소, 및 알루미늄 및 혼합물 및 그 합금으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 재료를 적어도 3 중량% 포함하는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금이 필수적으로 NICROBRAZ LM, 동-망간 합금, 동-규소 합금, 및 알루미늄-규소 합금으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 합금이 1,100℃ 이하의 액상온도를 가지는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 매트릭스 지지재가 내부에 형성된 복수의 슬롯을 가지고, 상기 다이아몬드 입자가 상기 슬롯 내에 배치되는 연마공구.
- 제16항에 있어서, 상기 슬롯이 합금으로 채워져서 상기 슬롯 내에 배치된 상기 다이아몬드를 상기 매트릭스 지지재에 결합시켜 상기 슬롯을 형성하는 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 다이아몬드 입자가 상기 매트릭스 지지재 내로 연장되는 기둥에 배치되고, 상기 다이아몬드가 상기 합금에 의하여 제 위치에 지지되는 연마공구.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 기둥이 실질적으로 선형인 연마공구.
- 제18항에 있어서, 상기 기둥이 만곡된 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공구가 원형 톱날인 연마공구.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공구가 선형 톱날인 연마공구.
- (a) 연마재로 사용될 다이아몬드 입자를 지지하도록 구성된 매트릭스 지지재를 형성하는 단계,(b) 다이아몬드 입자를 상기 매트릭스 지지재에 분산하는 단계,(c) 상기 매트릭스 지지재에, 필수적으로 크롬, 망간, 규소 및 알루미늄으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 성분 2 ∼ 50%를 함유하고, 대체로 아연이 없는 함금을 용침시키는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 단계 (a)는, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 매트릭스 지지재를 400 메시보다 큰 분말로 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 단계 (b)는, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 매트릭스 지지재를 불균일한 형상의 입자로 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 다이아몬드를 상기 매트릭스 지지재 내에 소정의 패턴으로 분산시키는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 매트릭스 지지재에 아연, 납 및 주석으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 대체로 간섭금속이 없는 합금을 용침시키는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 매트릭스 지지재 내에 복수의 슬롯을 형성하고, 상기 슬롯 내에 다이아몬드 입자를 분산시키는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 상기 슬롯에 합금 브레이즈를 용침시켜 상기 다이아몬드를 상기 매트릭스 지지재에 결합시키는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은 상기 매트릭스 지지재 및 다이아몬드 입자를 용침 중에 적어도 10-3토르의 진공을 거치는 단계를 추가로 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 방법은, 보다 구체적으로, 상기 매트릭스 지지재 및 다이아몬드 입자에 필수적으로 크롬, 망간, 알루미늄 및 규소 및 혼합물 및 그 합금으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택된 탄화물 형성체를 적어도 5 중량% 함유하는 합금을 용침시키는 단계를 포함하는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제23항에 있어서, 상기 합금이 Nicrobraz LM, 동 및 망간을 포함하는 합금, 동 및 규소를 포함하는 합금, 알루미늄 및 규소를 포함하는 합금, 및 니켈 및 규소를 포함하는 합금으로 이루어지는 군에서 선택되는 다이아몬드 용침 공구의 형성 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 공구가 와이어 톱(wire saw)인 연마공구.
- 제33항에 있어서, 상기 공구가 다이아몬드 와이어 톱인 연마공구.
- 제34항에 있어서, 상기 공구가 스틸 케이블에 걸쳐 끼워진 비드(bead)를 포함하는 다이아몬드 와이어 톱인 연마공구.
