Claims (5)
- 서로 일정한 간격으로 대향하는 전면 기판 및 배면 기판;상기 전면 기판과 배면 기판 간의 간격을 일정하게 유지하면서 각 방전셀에 대응하는 방전 공간을 유지하는 격벽들;상기 전면 기판 상에 스트라이프 상으로 서로 나란하게 배치된 방전 유지 전극 쌍들; 및상기 배면 기판 상에 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들과 교차하는 방향의 스트라이프 상으로 배치된 데이터 전극들;을구비한 면방전형 AC 플라즈마 표시 패널에 있어서,상기 각 방전셀 마다 배치된 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍의 사이에 소정 굵기의 보조 전극들을 배치한 것을 특징으로 하는 보조 전극을 가진 플라즈마 표시 패널.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 보조 전극의 굵기는 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들의 정전 용량을 증가시키지 않을 정도의 굵기인 것을 특징으로 하는 보조 전극을 가진 플라즈마 표시 패널.
- 서로 일정한 간격으로 대향하는 전면 기판 및 배면 기판; 상기 전면 기판과 배면 기판 간의 간격을 일정하게 유지하면서 각 방전셀에 대응하는 방전 공간을 유지하는 격벽들; 상기 전면 기판 상에 스트라이프 상으로 서로 나란하게 배치된 방전 유지 전극 쌍들; 상기 배면 기판 상에 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들과 교차하는 방향의 스트라이프 상으로 배치된 데이터 전극들; 및 상기 각 방전셀 마다 배치된 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍의 사이에 소정 굵기의 보조 전극들을 배치한 플라즈마 표시 패널에 있어서,상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들에 인가하는 방전 유지 펄스들의 시작 시점 보다 늦지 않도록 상기 보조 전극에 보조 전극 구동 펄스를 인가하는 단계;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보조 전극을 가진 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 보조 전극 구동 펄스는 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들에 상기 방전 유지 펄스가 인가되어 방전이 새로 시작될 때, 방전이 증대되는 기간 동안은 보조 전극의 전위를 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍 중 높은 전위를 가진 전극의 전위와 같도록 하고, 방전이 소멸하는 동안은 낮은 전위를 가진 전극의 전위와 같도록 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보조 전극을 가진 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서,상기 보조 전극 구동 펄스는 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍들에 상기 방전 유지 펄스가 인가되어 방전이 새로 시작될 때, 방전이 증대되는 기간 동안은 보조 전극의 전위를 상기 방전 유지 전극 쌍 중 낮은 전위를 가진 전극의 전위와 같도록 하고, 방전이 소멸하는 동안은 높은 전위를 가진 전극의 전위와 같도록 유지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보조 전극을 가진 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
