Claims (29)
- 희박 연소 엔진으로부터의 배기 가스 배출물의 저감을 위한 산화 촉매 복합체이며, 상기 촉매 복합체는
길이, 유입구 단부 및 유출구 단부를 갖는 캐리어 기판, 및 캐리어 상의 산화 촉매 물질을 포함하고, 상기 산화 촉매 물질은,
제1 내화성 금속 산화물 지지체, 희토류 산화물 성분 및 팔라듐 (Pd)을 포함하며, 중량 기준으로 1% 미만의 백금을 함유하는 제1 산화 물질;
제2 내화성 금속 산화물 지지체, 및 10:1 내지 1:10의 백금 대 팔라듐 중량비의 백금 (Pt) 및 팔라듐 (Pd)을 포함하며, 중량 기준으로 0.1% 미만의 희토류 산화물을 함유하는 제2 산화 물질; 및
제3 내화성 금속 산화물, 백금 (Pt), 및 Fe로 촉진된 분자체를 포함하며, 중량 기준으로 0.1% 미만의 희토류 산화물을 함유하는 보호 덧층(overlayer)
을 포함하는 것인, 산화 촉매 복합체. - 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질이 캐리어 기판 상의 하부 층에 있고, 제2 산화 물질이 하부 층 상의 중간 층에 있고, 보호 덧층이 중간 층 상의 상부 층에 있는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질 및 제2 산화 물질이 캐리어 기판 상의 구역화된 하부 층에 있고, 보호 덧층이 구역화된 하부 층 상의 상부 층인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제3항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질이 유입구 단부 상에 있고, 제2 산화 물질이 유출구 단부 상에 있는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제3항에 있어서, 제2 산화 물질이 유입구 단부 상에 있고, 제1 산화 물질이 유출구 단부 상에 있는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항 내지 제5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 제1, 제2 및 제3 내화성 금속 산화물 지지체가 독립적으로 알루미나, 지르코니아, 알루미나-지르코니아, 란타나-알루미나, 란타나-지르코니아-알루미나, 바리아-알루미나, 바리아-란타나-알루미나, 바리아-란타나-네오디미아-알루미나, 알루미나-크로미아 중의 하나 이상의 산화물을 포함하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질이 팔라듐을 1 g/ft3 내지 70 g/ft3 범위의 양으로 포함하고, 제2 산화 물질이 팔라듐 및 백금을 5 g/ft3 내지 150 g/ft3 범위의 양으로 포함하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 희토류 산화물이 세리아 (Ce), 란타나 (La), 프라세오디미아 (Pr), 네오디미아 (Nd), 유로피아 (Eu), 사마리아 (Sm), 이테르비아 (Yb), 및 그의 조합으로부터 선택된 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질의 중량을 기준으로, 희토류 산화물에 대한 Pd의 비가 중량 기준 1 내지 5의 범위인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질 중의 희토류 산화물 성분이 0.1 g/in3 내지 5 g/in3 범위의 양으로 존재하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제1 산화 물질 중의 희토류 산화물 성분이 세리아 (Ce)를 포함하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제11항에 있어서, Ce가 Si, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, In, Sn, Ir, Pr, 및 그의 조합으로부터 선택된 원소로 도핑된 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 보호 덧층이 6-, 8-, 10- 또는 12-고리 구조를 갖는 분자체를 포함하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 분자체가 유형 A, 카바자이트, 에리오나이트, ZSM-5, ZSM-11, ZSM-23, ZSM-48, 페리에라이트, 스틸바이트, 파우자사이트, 모르데나이트, 유형 L, 오메가, 베타, AlPO4, 보로실리케이트, MeAPO, MeAPSO, 및 SAPO로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제2 산화 물질 중의 백금 대 팔라듐의 중량비가 5:1 내지 1:5의 범위인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 제2 산화 물질 중의 백금 대 팔라듐의 중량비가 2:1 내지 1:1의 범위인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 제1항에 있어서, 캐리어 기판이 관통형 모노리스, 벽-유동형 필터, 발포체 또는 메쉬로부터 선택된 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
- 배기 가스 스트림을 제1항의 산화 촉매 복합체와 접촉시키고, 배기 가스 스트림을 하류 SCR 촉매에 통과시키는 것을 포함하는, 디젤 엔진 배기 가스 스트림의 처리 방법.
- 제18항에 있어서, 하류 SCR 촉매가 벽-유동형 필터 상에 배치된 것인 방법.
- 탄화수소, 일산화탄소, 질소 산화물, 미립자 물질, 및 다른 배기물 성분을 포함하는 희박 연소 엔진 배기 가스 스트림의 처리 시스템이며,
배기 매니폴드를 통해 희박 연소 엔진과 유체 연통하는 배기 도관;
제1항의 산화 촉매 복합체; 및
산화 촉매 복합체로부터 하류에 위치한 촉매 그을음 필터 및 SCR 촉매
를 포함하는 희박 연소 엔진 배기 가스 스트림의 처리 시스템. - 제20항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 촉매 그을음 필터 상에 워시코트로서 존재하는 것인 시스템.
- 제21항에 있어서, SCR 촉매의 하류에 관통형 모노리스 상의 제2 SCR 촉매를 추가로 포함하는 시스템.
- 제20항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 산화 촉매 복합체로부터 하류의 관통형 모노리스 상에 있고, 촉매 그을음 필터가 SCR 촉매로부터 하류에 있는 것인 시스템.
- 제20항에 있어서, 촉매 그을음 필터가 산화 촉매 복합체의 하류에 있고, SCR 촉매가 촉매 그을음 필터로부터 하류의 관통형 모노리스 상에 있는 것인 시스템.
- 제23항에 있어서, 촉매 그을음 필터가 제2 SCR 촉매를 포함하는 것인 시스템.
- 제20항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 이중 6-고리 (d6r) 단위를 갖는 분자체를 포함하는 것인 시스템.
- 제20항에 있어서, SCR 촉매가 CHA, AEI 또는 AFX 프레임워크 유형 제올라이트로부터 선택된 것인 시스템.
- 제1항에 있어서, 보호 덧층이 팔라듐 (Pd)을 추가로 포함하는 것인 산화 촉매 복합체.
