Claims (12)
- 제1 스테이지 화소, 제2 스테이지 화소, 제1 트랜지스터, 제2 트랜지스터, 제3 트랜지스터, 제1 스캔 라인, 제2 스캔 라인, 복수의 데이터 라인들, 메인 화소 전극, 서브 화소 전극 및 셰어 커패시턴스를 포함하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,
상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 상기 메인 화소 전극과 상기 서브 화소 전극을 충전하기 위해 제1 구동 기간 동안 상기 제1 스캔 라인을 구동하는 단계;
상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 메인 화소 전극과 서브 화소 전극의 전압들을 줄이기 위해 제2 구동 기간 동안 상기 제1 스캔 라인을 구동을 중단하는 단계;
상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 제3 트랜지스터를 턴 온하기 위해 제3 구동 기간 동안 상기 제2 스캔 라인을 구동하는 단계; 및
제4 구동 기간 동안 상기 제2 스캔 라인의 구동을 중단하는 단계와 상기 셰어 커패시턴스를 구현함으로써, 상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 메인 화소 전극 및 서브 화소 전극의 전압들을 풀 다운하는 단계를 포함하고,
상기 제2 스캔 라인은 상기 제2 구동 기간 동안 구동되지 않고, 상기 제2 구동 기간 동안 상기 메인 화소 전극과 상기 서브 화소 전극의 전압들은 피드 쓰루 효과로 인하여 감소되고,
상기 메인 화소 전극은 상기 제1 트랜지스터의 드레인과 전기적으로 연결되고 상기 서브 화소 전극은 상기 메인 화소 전극의 하부에 위치하고 상기 제2 트랜지스터의 드레인과, 상기 메인 화소 영역을 통과하여, 전기적으로 연결되고,
상기 제2 스캔 라인은 상기 제3 구동 기간 동안 상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 제3 트랜지스터와 상기 제2 스테이지 화소의 제1 및 제2 트랜지스터들을 턴온 하기 위해 구동되고,
상기 제2 스캔 라인은 상기 제3 구동 기간 이후의 제4 구동 기간 동안 구동되는 것을 중단하고, 상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 메인 화소 전극 및 서브 화소 전극의 전압들이 상기 셰어 커패시턴스를 구현함으로써 감소되며, 상기 셰어 커패시턴스는 상기 제3 및 제4 구동 기간 동안 상기 제3 트랜지스터와 연결되는 액정표시장치의 화소 구동방법. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 화소 구동 방법은 수직 배향 타입 액정표시장치에 사용되고, 상기 제2 스테이지 화소는 상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 다음 스테이지 화소인 액정표시장치의 화소 구동방법. - 삭제
- 제1항에 있어서,
상기 제2 스테이지 화소의 제1 및 제2 트랜지스터들은 상기 제1 스테이지 화소의 제3 트랜지스터와 동일 스캔 라인을 공유하는 액정표시장치의 화소 구동방법. - 복수의 화소들{P(n, m)}, 여기서 n=1, 2,...,N, N+1, ..., m=1, 2, ..., M, M+1, ..., n 과 m은 정수들이고, 상기 화소들은 어레이 형태로 배열되며, 화소들 중 어느 하나는 두 개의 인접한 스캔 라인들(G_N, G_N+1)과 두 개의 인접한 데이터 라인들(Data_M, Data_M+1)을 포함하는 액정표시장치에 있어서,
상기 화소는,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N)과 전기적으로 연결된 게이트와 메인 화소 전극과 전기적으로 연결된 드레인을 구비한 제1 트랜지스터;
상기 스캔 라인(G_N)과 전기적으로 연결된 게이트와 서브 화소 전극과 전기적으로 연결된 드레인을 구비한 제2 트랜지스터; 및
상기 스캔 라인(G_N+1)과 전기적으로 연결된 게이트와 셰어 커패시턴스와 전기적으로 연결된 드레인과 상기 서브 화소 전극과 전기적으로 연결된 소스를 구비한 제3 트랜지스터를 포함하고,
상기 제1 트랜지스터와 제2 트랜지스터들은 현재 스테이지에서 화소 충전을 위해 배치되고, 상기 제3 트랜지스터는 상기 셰어 커패시턴스를 구현함으로써, 다음 스테이지에서 상기 서브 화소 전극의 전압을 풀 다운하기 위해 배치되며,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N)의 구동 기간과 상기 스캔 라인(G_N+1)의 구동 기간 사이에 상기 스캔 라인(G_N)과 상기 스캔 라인(G_N+1)이 동시에 구동되지 않는 기간이 존재하고, 상기 기간 동안 상기 메인 화소 전극과 상기 서브 화소 전극의 전압들은 피드 쓰루 효과로 인하여 감소되고,
상기 서브 화소 전극은 상기 메인 화소 전극의 하부에 위치하고 상기 제2 트랜지스터의 드레인과, 상기 메인 화소 영역을 통과하여, 전기적으로 연결되고,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N)은 상기 현재 스테이지 화소의 메인 화소 전극 및 서브 화소 전극을 충전하기 위해 제1 구동 구간 동안 구동되고,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N)은 상기 제1 구동 기간 이후의 제2 구동 기간 동안 구동을 정지하고,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N+1)은 상기 다음 스테이지의 메인 화소 전극 및 서브 화소 전극을 충전하고 상기 제3 트랜지스터를 턴온 하기 위해 상기 제2 구동 기간 이후의 제3 구동 기간 동안 구동되고,
상기 스캔 라인(G_N+1)은 상기 제3 구동 기간 이후의 제4 구동 기간 동안 구동되는 것을 중단하고, 상기 현재 스테이지 화소의 메인 화소 전극 및 서브 화소 전극의 전압들이 상기 셰어 커패시턴스를 구현함으로써 감소되며, 상기 셰어 커패시턴스는 상기 제3 및 제4 구동 기간 동안 상기 제3 트랜지스터와 연결되는 액정표시장치. - 제6항에 있어서,
