Claims (20)
- 하나 이상의 다공성 벽을 갖는 세라믹 지지체 상에 다공성 차등층(discriminating layer)을 형성하는 방법으로서,
(a) 입자 응집체를 함유하는 가스 스트림의 유동을 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽을 통해 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 가스 입구 면으로부터 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 가스 출구 면으로 설정하여, 응집체의 적어도 일부가 침착되어 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 가스 입구 면 상에 응집체, 그의 구성 입자 또는 이들 둘 모두가 침착된 층을 형성하는 단계로서, 여기서 (1) 입자 응집체를 구성하는 입자의 적어도 일부는 세라믹 물질 또는 세라믹 물질의 전구체이고, (2) 입자 응집체를 구성하는 입자는 0.01 내지 5 마이크로미터 (㎛)의 크기를 갖고, (3) 응집체는 10 내지 200 마이크로미터의 크기를 갖고, (4) 상기 침착된 층은 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 두께를 통해 단지 부분적으로 연장되는 단계, 및 (b) 상기 침착된 층을 소성시켜 차등층을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 방법. - 제1항에 있어서, 입자 응집체가 물라이트 전구체 입자를 포함하고, 단계 (b) 동안에 물라이트 전구체 입자가 물라이트를 형성하고, 지지체가 침상형 물라이트인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 입자 응집체가 1종 이상의 기능성 물질의 입자를 포함하고, 기능성 물질이 촉매 또는 촉매 전구체인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 입자 응집체가 정전력에 의해 응집되거나, 분무 건조에 의해 응집되거나, 또는 소성에 의해 응집되고, 응집체의 적어도 일부가 지지체 벽에 침착될 때 분열되어 부분적으로 또는 완전히 그의 구성 입자로 다시 분할되는 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 다공성 차등층이 0.1 내지 3 마이크로미터의 세공 크기, 및 40 내지 90%의 다공도를 갖는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 단계 (a)를 두 번 수행하여 침착 층을 다공성 벽(들)의 양면에 침착시키는 방법.
- 세공이 있는 하나 이상의 다공성 벽을 갖는 세라믹 지지체의 결함 및 상기 다공성 벽에 세공에 비해 큰 개구를 생성하는 하나 이상의 결함을 복구하는 방법으로서,
(a) 입자 응집체를 함유하는 가스 스트림의 유동을 지지체를 통해 그리고 다공성 벽의 상기 결함을 통해 상기 다공성 벽의 가스 입구 면으로부터 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 가스 출구 면으로 설정하여, 결함을 적어도 부분적으로 폐쇄시키도록 응집체, 그의 구성 입자 또는 이들 둘 모두가 상기 하나 이상의 다공성 벽의 상기 결함 내에 침착되는 단계로서, 여기서 (1) 응집체를 구성하는 입자의 적어도 일부는 세라믹 물질 또는 물질의 전구체이고, (2) 응집체를 구성하는 입자는 0.01 내지 5 마이크로미터의 크기를 갖고, (3) 응집체는 10 내지 200 마이크로미터의 크기를 갖는 단계, 및 (b) 상기 침착된 응집체 또는 입자를 소성시키는 단계를 포함하는 방법. - 제7항에 있어서, 지지체가 침상형 물라이트이고, 입자 응집체가 물라이트 전구체 입자를 포함하고, 단계 (b) 동안에 물라이트 전구체 입자가 물라이트를 형성하는 방법.
- 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 입자 응집체가 1종 이상의 기능성 물질의 입자를 포함하고, 기능성 물질이 촉매 또는 촉매 전구체인 방법.
