Description

Claims (37)
- (i) 세라믹 그레인을 포함하고, 인접 유입구 및 유출구 채널들에 의해 연결되는 유입구 말단 및 유출구 말단을 가진 단일체(monolith) 세라믹 허니컴 바디-이때, 상기 유입구 및 유출구 채널은 상기 세라믹 허니컴 바디의 유입구 말단에서 유출구 말단까지 연장되며, 유입구 및 유출구 채널들 사이의 복수개의 인터레이싱(interlacing)된 기체 여과용 다공성 격벽 및 세라믹 플러그에 의해 한정됨-를 형성하되, 이때 상기 세라믹 허니컴 바디가, 세라믹 허니컴 바디의 세라믹 그레인이 융합되지 않도록 가열되는, 단계,(ii) 상기 단계 (i)의 세라믹 허니컴 바디의 채널의 일부내로 미세구조 변경 화합물을 삽입하여, 상기 채널의 일부를 한정하는 격벽 상에 또는 내에 상기 미세구조 변경 화합물이 침착되도록 하는 단계, 및(iii) 상기 단계 (ii)의 세라믹 허니컴 바디를, 상기 세라믹 그레인이 융합하여 다공성 단일체 세라믹 허니컴 필터를 형성하도록 하는 온도로 가열하되, 상기 허니컴 필터가 채널의 길이를 따라 미세구조가 다른 하나 이상의 다공성 격벽을 갖는, 단계를 포함하는, 다공성 단일체 세라믹 허니컴 필터의 형성 방법.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 미세구조 변경 화합물이 희토류 산화물인, 방법.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 미세구조 변경 화합물이, 가열시, 그레인 성장을 변화시키되, 상기 미세구조 변경 화합물이 침착된 격벽 부분을 갖는 채널과 상기 미세구조 변경 화합물이 침착되지 않은 격벽 부분을 갖는 채널의 단면적 차이가 10% 이하가 되도록 하는, 방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서,융합되지 않은 세라믹 그레인이, 상기 단계 (iii)에서 가열시 함께 융합된 침상 그레인들을 형성하는 등축의(equiaxed) 입자인, 방법.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 4 항 중 어느 한 항의 방법에 의해 제조된 세라믹 허니컴 필터 단일체.
