Claims (46)
- 환자 내의 혈관 부위에 색전제를 전달하기 위한 마이크로카테터에 있어서,
근위 단부와, 원위 단부와, 그를 통해 축방향으로 연장하는 적어도 하나의 루멘을 구비하는 세장형 가요성 관형 본체와,
근위 단부와, 원위 단부와, 그를 통해 축방향으로 연장하는 루멘을 구비하는 팁 본체와,
상기 관형 본체 및 팁 본체 양자 모두의 일부를 덮는, 열가소적으로 끼워진(fitted) 슬리브를 포함하고,
상기 슬리브는 상기 관형 본체와 팁 본체 양자 모두와 마찰 결합되고(frictionally engaged), 슬리브는 철회력(retraction force)의 인가에 의해 관형 본체 및 팁 본체 중 하나로부터 분리될 수 있는 마이크로카테터. - 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 슬리브는 상기 팁 본체보다 상기 관형 본체와 더 긴밀한 마찰 결합을 형성하는 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 팁 본체의 분리 이전에 상기 팁 본체의 위치를 나타내기 위해 상기 슬리브 아래의 상기 관형 본체의 원위 단부 상에 배치된 제1 마커를 더 포함하는 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 3에 있어서, 상기 제1 마커는 상기 관형 본체의 외부면 상의 방사선 불투과성 마커 밴드인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 팁 본체의 분리 이후 상기 팁 본체의 위치를 나타내기 위해 상기 관형 본체 상에 배치된 제2 마커를 더 포함하는 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 팁 본체는 상기 혈관 부위에 상기 색전제를 전달하기 위해 상기 팁 본체의 측벽 상에 복수의 구멍들을 포함하는 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 슬리브는 열가소성 폴리올레핀 엘라스토머(TPE), 아크릴, 셀룰로이드, 셀룰로스 아세테이트, 에틸렌-비닐 아세테이트(EVA), 에틸렌 비닐 알콜(EVAL), 플루오로플라스틱들(PTFE, FEP, PFA, CTFE, ECTFE, ETFE), 이오노머들, 아크릴/PVC 합금, 액정 폴리머(LCP), 폴리아세탈(POM 또는 아세탈), 폴리아크릴로니트릴(PAN 또는 아크릴로니트릴), 폴리아미드(PA 또는 나일론), 폴리아릴에테르케톤(PAEK 또는 케톤), 폴리부타디엔(PBD), 폴리부틸렌(PB), 폴리카프로락톤(PCL), 폴리클로로트리플루오로에틸렌(PCTFE), 폴리하이드록시알카노에이트(PHA)들, 폴리케톤(PK), 폴리에스테르, 저밀도 폴리에틸렌(LDPE), 선형 저밀도 폴리에틸렌(LLDPE), 폴리에틸렌(PE), 폴리에테르이미드(PEI), 폴리에테르설폰(PES), 폴리설폰, 폴리에틸렌클로리네이트들(PEC), 폴리락틱 산(PLA), 폴리메틸펜텐(PMP), 폴리페닐렌 옥사이드(PPO), 폴리페닐렌 설파이드(PPS), 폴리프탈아미드(PPA), 폴리프로필렌(PP), 폴리스티렌(PS), 폴리비닐 클로라이드(PVC), 폴리비닐리덴 클로라이드(PVDC) 및 그 조합들로 구성되는 그룹으로부터 선택된 열가소체인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 7에 있어서, 상기 열가소체는 폴리올레핀인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 8에 있어서, 상기 폴리올레핀은 폴리에틸렌 또는 폴리올레핀 엘라스토머 또는 그 조합들인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 철회력은 10 내지 160 그램-힘(gram-force) 사이인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 10에 있어서, 상기 마이크로카테터는 150과 400 psi 사이의 정적 파괴 강도를 가지고, 상기 철회력은 25 내지 40 그램-힘 사이인 마이크로카테터.
- 청구항 1에 있어서, 상기 슬리브는 내부적 분리 요소를 포함하는 마이크로카테터.
