Claims (10)
- 표시장치의 장축에 대해 -45°가 되도록 배향된 최하층의 액정을 기준으로 연속적으로 트위스트되어 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 45°가 되도록 배향된 최상층의 액정으로 구성된 TN 모드의 액정, 상기 TN 모드의 액정 상부에 배치되고 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 +45°로 기울어진 투과축을 가지는 상부 편광판을 포함하며 화상을 구현하는 제1 패널부와;상기 제1 패널부 상부에 형성되고, 상기 제1 패널부의 상부 편광판을 투과한 후, 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 45°로 선편광된 광을 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 90°로 선편광 되도록 위상지연시키는 반파장판과;상기 반파장판 상부에 배열된 ECB액정을 포함하여 상기 제1 패널부에서 구현되는 화상의 표시범위를 제한하는 제2 패널부를 구비하되,상기 반파장판의 광축은 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 50°내지 80° 또는, 10°내지 40°가 되도록 형성되고,상기 제2 패널부는 상기 반파장판 하부에 배치되고, 상기 제1 패널부의 상부 편광판의 투과축과 나란한 투과축을 가지는 하부 편광판을 포함하고,상기 제1 패널부는 상기 제1 패널부의 상부 편광판과 공통전극 사이 그리고 상기 제1 패널부의 하부 편광판과 화소전극 사이에 각각 배치된 시야각 보상필름을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시야각 제어 액정표시장치.

- 표시장치의 장축에 대해 -45°가 되도록 배향된 최하층의 액정을 기준으로 연속적으로 트위스트되어 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 45°가 되도록 배향된 최상층의 액정으로 구성된 TN 모드의 액정,상기 TN모드의 액정 상부에 형성되어 상기 TN모드의 액정을 투과한 후 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 45°로 선편광된 광을 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 90°로 선평광되도록 위상지연시키는 반파장판 및,상기 반파장판 상부에 형성되며 상기 표시장치의 장축과 90°를 이루는 투과축을 가지는 상부 편광판을 포함하며 화상을 구현하는 제1 패널부와;상기 제1 패널부의 상부에 배열된 ECB액정을 포함하여 상기 제1 패널부에서 구현되는 화상의 표시범위를 제한하는 제2 패널부를 구비하되,상기 반파장판의 광축은 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 50°내지 80° 또는, 10°내지 40°가 되도록 형성되고,상기 제2 패널부는 상기 제1 패널부의 상부 편광판의 투과축과 나란한 투과축을 가지는 하부 편광판 및 상부 편광판을 포함하고,상기 제1 패널부는 상기 제1 패널부의 상부 편광판과 공통전극 사이 그리고 상기 제1 패널부의 하부 편광판과 화소전극 사이에 각각 배치된 시야각 보상필름을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시야각 제어 액정표시장치.

- 제 7 항에 있어서,상기 ECB액정들의 장축은 상기 표시장치의 장축에 대해 90°가 되도록 초기 배향되는 것을 특징으로 하는 시야각 제어 액정표시장치.
