Claims (17)
- 박막트랜지스터가 형성되어 있는 제1기판, 상기 제1기판에 대향하는 제2기판 그리고 상기 제1기판과 상기 제2기판 사이에 형성되어 있는 수직배향 액정층을 포함하는 투과형 액정표시패널과;상기 제1기판의 외부에 순차적으로 부착되어 있는 제1위상차필름 및 제1편광판과;상기 제2기판의 외부에 순차적으로 부착되어 있는 제2위상차필름과 제2편광판을 포함하며,상기 제1 위상차필름과 상기 제2 위상차필름 중 하나는 λ/4필름 및 C 플레이트를 포함하며, 나머지 하나는 λ/4필름을 포함하고,상기 제1 기판은 제1 수직 배향막을 더 포함하고, 상기 제2 기판은 제2 수직 배향막을 더 포함하며,상기 제1 수직 배향막과 상기 제2 수직 배향막은 서로 반대방향으로 평행하게(anti-parellel) 러빙되어 있으며, 상기 수직 배향 액정층은 러빙된 상기 제1 수직 배향막과 상기 제2 수직 배향막으로 인하여 선경사각을 가지는 액정표시장치.

- 제1항에 있어서,상기 액정층의 위상지연값(Δnd)은 약 250nm 내지 350nm인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.

- 제9항에 있어서,상기 제1위상차필름은 이축성 λ/4 필름을 포함하며,상기 이축성 λ/4 필름의 지상축(slow axis)과 상기 제1편광판의 투과축은 45도를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제2위상차필름은 이축성 λ/4 필름을 포함하며,상기 이축성 λ/4 필름의 지상축(slow axis)과 상기 제2편광판의 투과축은 45도를 이루는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 러빙 방향은 상기 제1 편광판의 투과축 또는 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축과 65도의 각도를 이루며,상기 제1 편광판의 투과축과 상기 제2 편광판의 투과축은 직교하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.

- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제1위상차필름과 제2위상차필름은 각각 λ/4 필름을 포함하며,상기 λ/4 필름의 면내위상차(Ro)는 100nm 내지 140nm 인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제15항에 있어서,상기 제1위상차필름은 제1 λ/4 필름을 포함하고 상기 제2위상차필름은 제2 λ/4필름을 포함하며,상기 제1 λ/4필름의 지상축과 상기 제 λ/4필름의 지상축은 직교하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 C-플레이트의 총 두께 위상차(Rth, total)는 100nm내지 340nm인 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치.
