Description
Claims (6)
- 기판 상에 R, G, B 컬러 서브-화소를 구비하여 정의되는 화소가 매트릭스 형태로 다수개 구성되고, 스캔신호가 인가되는 다수개의 게이트라인 및 지그재그 형태로 상기 서브-화소와 연결되어 영상데이터가 인가되는 다수개의 데이터라인이 구성된 액정표시패널과, 상기 액정표시패널의 상부에 상기 다수개의 데이터라인과 연결되어 상기 영상데이터를 제공하는 다수개의 소스구동부 및 상기 액정표시패널의 측단에 연결되어 상기 스캔신호를 제공하는 다수개의 게이트구동부와, 상기 영상데이터를 제공하고 상기 소스구동부와 게이트구동부의 구동을 위한 다수의 제어신호를 제공하는 타이밍제어부를 구비한 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법으로서,상기 액정표시장치를 180도 회전시켜 상기 다수개의 소스구동부가 상기 액정표시패널의 하부에 위치하도록 하는 제1단계와;상기 다수개의 게이트구동부로부터 역순으로 스캔신호를 출력하는 제2단계와;상기 다수개의 소스구동부 각각에 제공될 영상데이터를 재설정하는 제3단계와;상기 각 서브-화소로 출력될 영상데이터의 배열을 반전하는 제4단계와;홀수 번째 수평화소열 또는 짝수 번째 수평화소열 중 선택된 수평화소열에 대해 영상데이터를 1 서브-화소만큼 수평 쉬프트시켜 출력하는 제5단계와;상기 각각의 화소에 구성된 R 및 B 컬러 서브-화소로 입력될 영상데이터를 서로 교환하는 제6단계와;상기 제2단계에 따른 스캔신호에 동기하여 상기 제3단계 내지 제6단계에 의해 재배열된 영상데이터를 상기 액정표시패널로 출력하는 제7단계를 포함하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
- 청구항 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제3단계는,상기 회전 이전의 액정표시장치에서, 상기 다수개의 소스구동부 각각에 제공되던 영상데이터를 상기 각 소스구동부가 배치된 순서대로 구분하는 단계와;상기 회전 이후의 액정표시장치에서, 상기 다수개의 소스구동부가 배치된 순서대로 제공되던 영상 데이터를 상기 다수개의 소스구동부가 배치된 순서의 역순으로 영상 데이터를 제공하는 단계 다수개의 소스구동부에 상기 회전 이전의 순서대로 상기 구분되어진 영상데이터를 각각 제공하는 단계를 포함하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
- 청구항 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제4단계는,1 수평화소열분의 해당하는 영상데이터를 구분하는 단계와;상기 1 수평화소열분의 영상데이터를 역순으로 정렬하는 단계를 포함하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
- 청구항 제 1 항에 있어서,최초 데이터라인이 최상위 수평화소열의 2번째 서브-화소와 연결될 경우 각 홀수 번째 수평화소열의 최종 서브-화소의 영상데이터를 동일 수평화소열의 최초 영상데이터로 제공하고, 최초 데이터라인이 최상위 수평화소열의 1번째 서브-화소와 연결될 경우 각 짝수 번째 수평화소열의 최종 서브-화소의 영상데이터를 동일 수평화소열의 최초 영상데이터로 제공하는 단계를 더욱 포함하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
- 청구항 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 회전 이전의 액정표시장치는,상기 다수개의 데이터라인 중 임의의 m 번째의 데이터라인이 홀수 번째 수평화소열의 m 번째 서브-화소 및 짝수 번째 수평화소열의 (m-1)번째 서브-화소와 연결되는 지그재그 형태로 영상데이터 입력이 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
- 청구항 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 제2단계 내지 제7단계는 상기 타이밍제어부를 통해 제어되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시장치의 회전 구동방법
