Description
Claims (11)
- 에어백 장치에 있어서,차량 충돌이 발생하는 경우 작동되는 가스를 분출하기 위한 가스 발생 수단(20), 및계기판(12)에 접혀서 저장되고, i) 상기 가스 발생 수단(20)에 의해 발생되는 가스의 공급을 받아 탑승자를 향해 전개하는 기결정된 폭의 중심부(52) 및 상기 중심부(52)의 상단측 상의 백(bag) 폭 방향의 양 측면을 향해 연장하도록 제공되고 상기 중심부(52)와 함께 팽창하는 상부(54)를 가지는 주요부(58; 74; 116), 및 ⅱ) 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)와 연통하는 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)이 형성되는 칸막이 부재(40; 70; 112)에 의해 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)로부터 분리되는 동안 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)의 주위에 제공되고, 상기 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)을 매개로 하여 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)로부터의 가스의 공급을 받아 팽창하는 주변부(56; 86)를 포함하는 에어백(44; 72; 90; 94; 96; 100; 110)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)은, 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)의 내부 압력이 기결정된 값 아래인 경우 폐쇄되고, 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)의 내부 압력이 상기 기결정된 값 이상인 경우 개방되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)의 외주보다 더 큰 폐쇄 부재(64)에 의해 상기 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)은 폐쇄되고, 상기 폐쇄 부재(64)의 외주부는 내부 압력이 상기 기결정된 값 이상의 조건에서 찢어지는 이음새(tear seam)(66)를 사용하여 봉합(sewn)되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제2항 또는 제3항에 있어서,상기 기결정된 값은 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)가 완전히 팽창 및 전개되는 경우의 가스 압력의 값인 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 백 폭 방향의 양 측면으로 연장하고 상기 중심부(52)와 함께 팽창하는 하부(76)가 상기 중심부(52)의 하단측 상에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 백 폭 방향의 양 측면으로 연장하고 상기 중심부(52)와 함께 팽창하는 중간부(114)가 상기 중심부(52)의 높이 방향으로 기결정된 위치에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)는, 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)의 상기 백 폭 방향의 실질적으로 중앙의 위치에서 제2 칸막이 부재(92)에 의해 분리되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 연통 구멍(60, 62, 84)은, 상기 주요부(58; 74; 116)의 상기 내부 압력에 따라 개구량을 변경시키는 밸브 기구에 의해 폐쇄되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 밸브 기구는 스프링인 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 주변부(56; 86)의 상기 내부 압력이 상기 기결정된 값 이상인 경우 개방되는 연통 구멍(98)이 상기 주변부(56; 86)와 상기 에어백의 외부 사이에 제공되는 것을 특징으로 하는 에어백 장치.
