Abstract
Description
도 8은 도 6의 평면도로서 공통전극과 화소전극이 교차하는 부분에서 공통전극의 완만한 경사를 이루는 부분에 대해 개념적으로 설명한 도면이다.
도 8에 도시한 바와 같이, 우측의 완만한 경사를 갖는 공통전극의 측면(105)은 제 1 부분(105a)과 제 2 부분(105b)과 제 3 부분(105c)으로 이루어지며, 이들 각 부분(105a, 105b, 105c)은 각각 직선 형태를 이루면 서로 소정의 각도를 가지며 연결된 구성을 이루고 있는 것이 특징이다.
상기 제 1 부분(105a)은 실질적으로 데이터 배선(미도시)과 수직하도록 수평적으로 위치하며, 이와 이웃한 화소전극(106b)과 약 70도 내지 90도 정도의 α각도 이루며 형성되는 것이 특징이다.
또한 상기 제 2 부분(105b)은 상기 제 1 부분(105a)과 약 160도 정도의 β각도를 이루고 있으며, 상기 제 3 부분(105c)은 상기 제 2 부분(105b)과 약 130도 정도의 γ각을 이루며 형성되고 있는 것이 특징이다.
이때, 본 발명에 있어, 상기 완만한 경사각을 갖는 측면(105)을 이루는 상기 제 2 부분(105b)과 제 3 부분(105c)이 이루는 각이 90도보다 큰 둔각을 이루는 것이 매우 중요하다.
도 8은 완만한 경사를 갖는 측면(105)이 제 1 내지 제 3 부분(105a, 105b, 105c)으로 나뉘어 직선 형태로 연결된 구조를 갖는 것을 보이고 있지만, 도 7에서와 같이 상기 완만한 경사를 갖는 측면은 전체적으로는 곡선 타입이 될 수도 있다.
Claims (3)
- 기판 상에 수직으로 교차하여 화소영역을 정의하는 게이트 배선과 데이터 배선과;상기 게이트 배선과 데이터 배선의 교차지점에 구성된 박막트랜지스터와;상기 게이트 배선과 이격하며 나란하게 구성된 공통배선과;상기 화소영역에 위치하며, 상기 공통배선에서 분기되고, 서로 이격되어 있는 제 1 내지 제 3 공통전극을 포함하는 공통전극과;상기 제 1 및 제 2 공통전극을 연결하며 상기 게이트 배선으로부터 제 1 거리만큼 이격되어 있는 제 1 수평부와;상기 제 2 및 제 3 공통전극을 연결하며 상기 게이트 배선으로부터 상기 제 1 거리만큼 이격되어 있는 제 2 수평부와;상기 화소영역에 위치하며, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 공통전극 사이에 위치하는 제 1 화소전극과 상기 제 2 및 제 3 공통전극 사이에 위치하는 제 2 화소전극을 포함하는 화소전극과;상기 제 1 화소전극과 상기 제 2 화소전극의 일측을 연결하고, 상기 게이트 배선으로부터 상기 제 1 거리보다 작은 제 2 거리만큼 이격되어 있는 제 1 부분과 상기 게이트 배선으로부터 상기 제 1 거리보다 큰 제 3 거리만큼 이격되어 있는 제 2 부분을 포함하는 제 3 수평부와;상기 제 2 화소전극의 타측으로부터 연장되며 상기 제 2 거리만큼 이격되어 있는 제 4 수평부을 포함하며, 상기 제 1 및 제 2 수평부 각각은 상기 제 1 및 제 2 화소전극과 만나는 일측에서 완만하게 굴곡진 형상을 갖고, 상기 완만하게 굴곡진 형상을 갖는 상기 제 1 및 제 2 수평부 일측은 각각 서로 다른 경사를 갖는 제 1 부분, 제 2 부분 및 제 3 부분으로 이루어지며, 상기 제 1 부분은 상기 일측을 제외한 공통전극 수직부와 70도 내지 90의 각도를 이루는 것이 특징인 횡전계방식 액정표시장치용 어레이기판.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 박막트랜지스터는 상기 게이트 배선과 연결되는 게이트 전극과, 액티브층과, 상기 데이터 배선과 연결된 소스전극과, 상기 화소전극과 연결된 드레인 전극으로 구성된 횡전계방식 액정표시장치용 어레이기판.
