Claims (17)
- 백색광을 출사하는 조명부와;복수의 색광을 선택적으로 투과나 반사시키도록 형성된 복수의 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터를 구비하여, 상기 조명부쪽에서 입사되는 백색광을 복수의 색광으로 분리하여 반사시키는 색광 분리부와;상기 색광 분리부에서 분리된 복수의 색광을 이용하여 복수 컬러 화상을 생성하는 화상생성부와;상기 화상생성부에서 생성된 복수 컬러 화상을 스크린으로 투사시키는 투사렌즈유니트;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색광 분리부는, 분리하고자 하는 색광 수와 동일한 매수의 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제2항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터는, 전기적인 신호에 따라 분리하고자 하는 색광 수만큼 분할된 서브프레임동안마다 복수의 색광을 교대로 선택하여 반사시킬 수 있도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터는, 전기적인 신호에 따라 분리하고자 하는 색광 수만큼 분할된 서브프레임동안마다 복수의 색광을 교대로 선택하여 반사시킬 수 있도록 된 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터는, 분리하고자하는 색광 수에 해당하는 전기적으로 스위칭 가능한 복수의 선택적 반사/투과층;을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제5항에 있어서, 상기 선택적 반사/투과층은,적어도 일측이 투명한 기판 사이에 샌드위치되며, 일정 간격으로 배열된 고분자 사슬로 얽힌 액정 방울과, 상기 액정 방울 사이사이에 차있는 액정 용액을 포함하며, 전기적인 신호에 따라 상기 액정 방울과 액정 용액 사이의 굴절율 차가 조절되어 색광에 따라 선택적으로 반사시키도록 된 액정층과;상기 액정층에 전계를 인가할 수 있도록 상기 기판 내측면에 형성된 투명 전극;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터는,서로 비스듬하게 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 복수의 스위칭 가능한 컬러 필터는,서로 비스듬하게 배치된 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 조명부는,백색광을 출사하는 광원과;상기 광원에서 출사된 광을 평행광으로 바꾸어주는 조명 렌즈와;상기 광원에서 출사된 광을 단일 선편광의 광으로 변환하는 편광 변환기;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 조명 렌즈는,상기 광원쪽에서 입사되는 광을 균일빔으로 변환시키는 파리눈렌즈 어레이를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 편광 변환기는,입사광을 선편광에 따라 선택적으로 투과 및 반사시키는 편광분할기와;상기 편광분할기에서 반사된 광을 상기 편광분할기를 투과한 광과 나란한 방향으로 반사시키는 반사부재와;상기 편광분할기를 투과한 광 또는 상기 반사부재에서 반사된 광의 경로 상에 배치된 반파장판;을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제9항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 광원은, 포물경을 가지는 램프형 광원인 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 화상생성부는,상기 색광 분리부쪽에서 입사되는 색광들을 집속시키는 제1마이크로 렌즈 어레이와;상기 제1마이크로 렌즈 어레이를 경유하여 입사된 색광으로부터 칼라 화상을 생성하기 위한 디스플레이 디바이스;를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스는, 투과형 액정표시소자인 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제13항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스는, 반사형 액정표시소자이고,상기 색광 분리부와 제1마이크로 렌즈 어레이 사이에 입사광을 편광에 따라 투과 또는 반사시키는 편광분할기;를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스에서 반사된 광이 입사할 때와 동일한 상기 제1마이크로 렌즈 어레이의 마이크로 렌즈를 통과하도록 하기 위해, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스와 제1마이크로 렌즈 어레이 사이에 마이크로 프리즘 어레이 또는 제2마이크로 렌즈 어레이를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
- 제15항에 있어서, 상기 디스플레이 디바이스는, 액정층을 샌드위치시키는 한쌍의 기판 중 광이 입사되는 투명 기판의 반대쪽 기판이 실리콘 기판으로 된 것을 특징으로 하는 단판식 컬러 화상 표시 장치.
