Claims (47)
- 발광 시간 길이에 의해 휘도 표현을 행하는 디스플레이의 구동 방법에 있어서,n, a, b를 정수(整數)로 했을 때, n 계조의 입력 화상 신호로부터 a≤n을 만족하는 a 계조의 제1 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝과,상기 입력 화상 신호로부터 b<a≤n을 만족하는 b 계조의 제2 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝과,상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 화소 단위로 전환하여 출력하는 스텝을 포함하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 발광 시간 길이에 의해 휘도 표현을 행하는 디스플레이의 구동 방법에 있어서,n, a, b를 정수로 했을 때, n 계조의 입력 화상 신호에 대하여 오차 확산 처리를 실시하여 a<n을 만족하는 a 계조의 제1 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝과,상기 입력 화상 신호에 대해 오차 확산 처리를 실시하여 b<a<n을 만족하는 b 계조의 제2 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝과,상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 화소 단위로 전환하여 출력하는 스텝을 포함하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝은, 오차 확산 처리 후의 b 계조의 화상 신호의 각 휘도치를 상기 제1 화상 신호에서의 동등한 휘도치로 변환하는 스텝을 포함하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서,상기 제1 화상 신호를 생성하는 스텝은, 상기 입력 화상 신호에 계수 (a-1)/(n-1)을 승산한 후에 오차 확산 처리를 실시하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.

- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 전환하여 출력하는 스텝은 현재의 라인의 상기 입력 화상 신호와 1 라인 전의 상기 입력 화상 신호간의 차분에 기초하여 전환을 행하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 전환하여 출력하는 스텝은 현재의 화소에 관한 상기 입력 화상 신호와 1 화소 전의 화소에 관한 상기 입력 화상 신호간의 차분에 기초하여 전환을 하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 제16항에 있어서,상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 전환하여 출력하는 스텝은 상기 차분이 임계치 이상일 경우에만 상기 제1 화상 신호를 선택 출력하도록 전환을 행하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
- 제11항에 있어서,상기 입력 화상 신호에 대해 3원색의 각 색의 신호에 대해 화상 중의 이동량을 구하는 스텝을 더 포함하며, 상기 제1 화상 신호와 상기 제2 화상 신호를 전환하여 출력하는 스텝은 상기 이동량에 기초하여 전환을 행하는 디스플레이 구동 방법.
