Claims (6)
- 복수의 스위칭소자를 가지는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 기판과;상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나위에 형성되고, 매트릭스형태로 서로 교차하는 신호전극라인 및 스캐닝전극라인과;인접하는 상기 신호전극라인과 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 의해 형성되는 복수의 픽셀과;상기 한 쌍의 기판사이에 개재되어 있는 액정층을 포함하여 이루어지며,각각의 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 소정 전압이 상기 픽셀에 인가될 때 상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나와 실질적으로 평행한 성분을 가지는 전계를 발생하는 전극구조를 포함하며, 적어도 두 종류의 비선택전압값을 가지는 스캐닝신호가 상기 스캐닝 전극라인에 인가되고,적어도 두 개의 스위칭소자가 하나의 픽셀내에 형성되고, 제 1스위칭소자의 소오스전극 또는 드레인전극은 상기 신호전극에 연결되고, 제 2스위칭소자의 소오스전극 또는 드레인전극은 상기 제 1스위칭소자와 상기 제 2스위칭소자의 게이트전극에 대응하는 상기 스캐닝전극에 인접한 스캐닝전극에 연결되어지고,상기 제 2스위칭소자는 캐패시턴스적인 소자를 통하여 상기 인접 스캐닝전극에 연결되어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 복수의 스위칭소자를 가지는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 기판과;상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나위에 형성되고, 매트릭스형태로 서로 교차하는 신호전극라인 및 스캐닝전극라인과;인접하는 상기 신호전극라인과 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 의해 형성되는 복수의 픽셀과;상기 한 쌍의 기판사이에 개재되어 있는 액정층을 포함하여 이루어지며,각각의 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 소정 전압이 상기 픽셀에 인가될 때 상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나와 실질적으로 평행한 성분을 가지는 전계를 발생하는 전극구조를 포함하며, 적어도 두 종류의 비선택전압값을 가지는 스캐닝신호가 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 인가되고, 적어도 두종류의 전압값을 가지는 공통전압이 적어도 하나의 카운터전극에 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 제2항에 있어서,각각의 상기 픽셀은 픽섹전극과 상기 적어도 하나의 카운터전극에 인접하는 카운터전극사이의 캐패시턴스보다 큰 저장캐패시턴스를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 복수의 스위칭소자를 가지는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 기판과;상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나위에 형성되고, 매트릭스형태로 서로 교차하는 신호전극라인 및 스캐닝전극라인과;인접하는 상기 신호전극라인과 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 의해 형성되는 복수의 픽셀과;상기 한 쌍의 기판사이에 개재되어 있는 액정층을 포함하여 이루어지며,각각의 상기 픽셀은 적어도 하나의 소정 전압이 상기 픽셀에 인가될 때 상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나와 실질적으로 평행한 성분을 가지는 전계를 발생하는 전극구조와, 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 연결된 카운터전극과, 상기 스캐닝전극라인의 각각에 대응하여 상기 스캐닝전극라인의 각 열마다 번갈아서 N형 특성과 P형 특성을 갖도록 구성되어지는 스위칭소자를 포함하여 이루어지며,P형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 상기 스캐닝전극라인의 각각에는 N형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 인가되는 비선택전압보다 큰 적어도 두 종류의 비선택값을 가지는 스캐닝신호가 인가되고,N형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 상기 스캐닝전극라인의 각각에는, P형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 인가되는 비선택전압보다 낮은 적어도 두 종류의 비선택값을 가지는 스캐닝신호가 인가되는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 복수의 스위칭소자를 가지는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치에 있어서,한 쌍의 기판과;상기 한 쌍의 기판중 하나위에 형성되고, 매트릭스형태로 서로 교차하는 신호전극라인 및 스캐닝전극라인과;인접하는 상기 신호전극라인과 상기 스캐닝전극라인에 의해 형성되는 복수의 픽셀과;상기 한 쌍의 기판사이에 개재되어 있는 액정층을 포함하여 이루어지며,픽셀전극과 카운터전극사이의 캐패시턴스보다 큰 저장캐패시턴스가 상기 픽셀내에 구성되고, 적어도 두종류의 비선택전압값을 가지는 스캐닝신호가 상기 픽셀전극의 전압을 변조하기 위해 각각의 상기 픽셀에 인가되고,모든 상기 스캐닝전극라인의 상기 비선택전압은 동일한 진폭, 동일한 주기, 동일한 위상을 가지고 변화되는 것을 특징으로하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
- 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치에 있어서,복수의 스캐닝전극과, 상기 복수의 스캐닝전극과 교차하게 형성되는 복수의 신호전극과, 상기 복수의 스캐닝전극과 상기 복수의 신호전극의 교차부들 각각에 형성되는 스위칭소자와, 상기 스위칭소자에 연결되는 상기 복수의 스캐닝전극의 각 열마다 번갈아서 P형 특성과 N형 특성을 가지는 픽셀전극과, 상기 픽셀전극에 인접하여 형성되는 카운터전극을 일면에 구비하는 제 1기판과;상기 제 1기판으로부터 일정한 공간을 두고 위치하는 제 2기판과;상기 제 1기판과 상기 제 2기판 사이의 갭에 개재되는 액정조성물과;상기 복수의 스캐닝전극 각각에 스캐닝신호를 인가하는 스캐닝드라이버와;상기 복수의 신호전극 각각에 화상신호를 공급하는 신호드라이버를 포함하여 이루어지며,상기 픽셀전극과 상기 카운터전극 사이에 전압이 인가되어 상기 액정조성물에 상기 제 1기판 또는 제 2기판중 적어도 어느 하나와 실질적으로 평행한 성분을 가지는 전계를 제공하고 디스플레이를 생성시키며,P형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 스캐닝전극에 인가되는 스캐닝신호에서 비선택전압의 전압은 N형 스위칭트랜지스터소자를 가지는 스캐닝전극에 인가되는 스캐닝신호에서 비선택전압의 전압보다 높으며, 전압차는 명상태 또는 암상태를 얻기위한 픽셀전극고 카운터전극사이의 최대전압(VON)을 초과하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액티브매트릭스형 액정표시장치.
