Claims (10)
- 폴리비닐알콜 시트의 분자 탈수에 의해서 형성된 폴리비닐렌 블록을 갖는 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체재의 분자적으로 배향된 시트를 구비하는 편광자로서, 상기 분자적으로 배향된 폴리비닐알콜/폴린비닐렌 블록 공중합체재의 시트는 공중합체의 폴리비닐렌 블록의 공액 반복 비닐렌 단위의 길이(n)가 2 내지 24에서 변화하는 대체적으로 균일한 분포의 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체재의 편광 분자를 구비하며, 스펙트럼 이색성율(RD)에 의해서 측정되는 것으로서, 상기 블록의 상기 편광 분자의 배향율이 상기 폴리비닐렌 블록의 길이(n)의 증가에 따라서 상기 범위에서 증가하며, 상기 블록에 의해 200 내지 700 nm의 파장의 흡수에 의해서 결정되는 것으로서, 상기 폴리비닐렌 블록의 각각의 농도는 n=19 내지 24의 범위에 있는 상기 폴리비닐렌 블록의 각각의 상기 흡수 결정 농도가 n=14 혹은 15의 범위 내의 임의의 상기 폴리비닐렌 블록의 흡수 결정 농도의 거의 70% 이상이되도록 하며, 상기 편광자 시트는 거의 45 이상의 광이색성율(RD)을 보이는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 시트의 일부분이 상기 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체와 붕산의 방습성 착물을 또한 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 시트의 일부분이 상기 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체와 붕사의 방습성 착물을 또한 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체재의 상기 시트는 연신되며 연장된 시트인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 폴리비닐알콜/폴리비닐렌 블록 공중합체재의 상기 시트는 연신되고, 붕소화되며, 연장된 시트인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자.
- 소정의 원래의 길이를 가지며, 하이드록실화 직선상 고중합체를 구비하는 중합체 시트로부터 편광자를 제조하는 방법에 있어서, (a) 중합체 시트를 원래의 길이의 거의 2.0 내지 거의 5.0 배로 단일방향으로 연신하는 단계와, (b) 발연 산성 증기에 연신된 시트를 노출하는 단계와, (c) 발연된 시트의 탈수를 적절하게 얻기 위한 온도에서 발연되어 배향된 시트를 가열함으로서, 광흡수하는, 비닐렌 블록 부분을 형성하는 단계와, (d) 탈수되고, 발연되어 배향된 시트를 10% 내지 160%로 단일방향으로 부가적으로 연장하여서 전체의 연신율이 소정의 원래의 길이의 4.8 배 이상이 되게 하는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자 제조 방법.
- 제7항에 있어서, 하이드록실화 직선상 공중합체는 폴리비닐알콜인 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자 제조 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 탈수되고, 발연되어 배향된 시트가 붕소이온 함유 용액 내에서 단일방향으로 연장되는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자 제조 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 상기 산연무와 상기 가열이 가해진 중합체 시트는 캐리어 웨브상에서 지지되며, 캐리어 웨브에 의한 지지는 상기 단일방향으로의 연장 전에는 중지되며 상기 단일방향으로의 연장 후에 계속되는 것을 특징으로 하는 편광자 제조 방법.
